Thanks a Bunch!

Hi there!  While most of my fellow Baker's Dozen DT members are off partying it up in Chicago at CHA, I thought I'd cheer myself up for not being able to go by making a card!!  Nothing like stamping to lift your spirits!!  LOL!

I used all of my current favorite things from Taylored Expressions on this card:
~& my beloved Corner Chomper!!

I paired all of these products with one more Dare To Get Dirty Challenge, DTGD10blondie090277.  There is no way I'll finish all of the DTGD challenges, but I did make quite a dent!!

While Taylored Expressions is off exhibiting at CHA all orders over $50.00 placed at the TE store by August 1st will receive free shipping!!  Woohoo!

I hope you all have a great weekend!  Thank you for stopping by!!

RAWR!!!!!!

Hi there!  I made this card for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club challenge to make a banner on your card or project.  This was the perfect opportunity to use the new banner die I bought from MFT!  I also purchased a few other things, including this DARLING Little Loveosaurus stamp (he is sold out a the moment) that I've been eyeing for awhile.  Isn't he so cute?  I paper pieced him with two of the patterns from October Afternoon Report Card pack.    This card also uses another Dare To Get Dirty challenge, DTGD10rainy.

Well, that's all from me today!  I'm off to get a haircut (YIPPEE) and run some errands!  I hope you have a great day!

Stamps:  Little Loveosaurus (MFT)
Paper:  Kraft, Vintage Cream, Night Of Navy, October Afternnon Report Card DP
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics, Ranger Distress Ink in Antique Linen & Tea Dye
Accessories & Tools:  MFT Banner Die, Deckle Edge Nesties, PTI Buttons and Twine, Seeing Spots embossing folder, Sewing Machine, Foam Tape

You're A Whale Of A Friend {MTSC84}

Hi there!  It's Tuesday and it's time for another one of Mercy's sketches!!  I have to admit that I struggled with today's sketch, but once I got going, I am thrilled with the result!!  I paired this week's sketch with TCPTues118 to use twine on your card or project, DTGD10notimetostamp, DTGD10suzannejdean,

I got a new Cat's Pajamas order last week and could not wait to get this whale inky!  I used some Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday dp that I've had for a LONG time and just forgot about!   I also love this wave die!  Isn't it fun?  The buttons are from PTI and the twine is the new Divine Twine in Lime from TCP!  I did a share with some friends so we could split the cost!   The sentiment is one long sentiment but I wanted it to fit where I put it, so I simply masked the words to break it up and used a small square punch to make them into little sentiment flags.  What do you think?

Don't forget to check out Mercy's Muse's to see what they did with this sketch!

Happy Birthday, Julee!!!

Hi there!!  Today a group of Julee Tilman's friends have gotten together to have a little virtual birthday party in Julee's honor!!

If you've arrived here from Jen's blog then you're in the right place!  If you've just happened along then you can head to the Verve Blog for a list of participants and to start from the beginning!!

Happy Birthday, Julee!!!  I hope you have a fantastic birthday!!

Not only am I priveledged to design for Julee's company, Verve Stamps, but am lucky to call her friend!

So here's what I did for Julee's card...I stamped the Happy Birthday Plain Jane onto Vintage Cream in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, cut it out with Oval Nesties and sponged some Ranger Distress Ink in Antique Linen and Tea Dye while it was still in the die.  The flowers are from Feel the Sun and are very dimensional.  I have been trying to participate in the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges this week, so I've incorporated a few challenges into this one card:  DTGD10joanervin, DTGD10melmel,  & DTGD10justwritedesigns02.

Your next stop on this birthday hop is Wendy!!

Center of Attention Product Spotlight ~ Taylored Originals

Hi there!  Today half of the Baker's Dozen will be spotlighting Taylored Originals from the Taylored Expressions Store.  Taylored Originals are only available at Taylored Expressions in exclusive combinations designed by TE!  Each of the girls has a different product so be sure to hop around to each blog!  Links are at the bottom of this post!  So let's get to it....shall we?

I'm spotlighting Taylored Rose Garden.  Aren't these flowers gorgeous?  Each package contains 24 paper roses in 6 colors.  They have such dimension and the colors are so vibrant!

I knew I wanted to use them as an accent on a card, so I pulled out Discover Your Wings and the Udderly Sweet Project Pantry Kit and got to work.  I've been playing along with the Dare to Get Dirty challenges this week and this card combines five challenges:  DTGD10JeanneS, DTGD10craftycaro, DTGD10cindy_haffner, DTGD10flowergal36 & DTGD10debdeb.

I stamped the beautiful sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black, cut it out with a Labels 10 Nestability and sponged Summer Sunrise ink on the label while it was still in the die.  The dragonfly was stamped in Colorbox Moss Green pigment ink and cut out with paper snips. I added some Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to the wings for some sparkle.  The ribbon is from the Udderly Sweet Project Pantry.  The last thing I added were the flowers from Taylored Rose Garden.  I simply adhered them with Glue Dots and they are the perfect finishing touch, don't you think?

Don't forget to check out the rest of the Baker's Dozen to see what products they used!

Taylor - bucket of bling
Karen M. - candy crystals
Jeanie - paper pretties
Alex - apple blossoms
Carolina - butterflies
Sankari - tiny twinkles

Each of our Center of Attention products will be on sale for a
limited time following our product spotlight (July 22 - 25). This time
we'll be offering a 15% discount on all variations of the TE Originals listed above.
You can see all the products spotlighted today plus many more deals in the What's the Deal category on the TE website!

Are We There Yet? {MTSC83}

Hi there!  It's Tuesday and it's time for another of Mercy's sketches!!  I think this might be my favorite sketch from Mercy....EVER!!  I had so much fun with this card!  I combined it with three different Dare To Get Dirty challenges from Splitcoaststampers, DTGD2010AmberDawn01
DTGD10peanutbee & DTGD10DeborahLynnS.  If you're not a fan club member then you won't be able to see the challenge by clicking the link...sorry!  You have to be a Fan Club Member to play!  If you're not a Fan Club Member, then you can check out all the details on how to become one here.

I used my new Pure Innocence set, Are We There Yet, for my card.  I paper pieced her shirt and added some fun texture with the Seeing Spots embossing folder and some PTI felt!  The dp is October Afternoon Thrift Shop and the gingham ribbon is from my stash.

Don't forget to check out what the Muse's did with this sketch!  They are always amazing!

Just Sittin' Here {TESC121}

Hi there!  I had a little stamping time tonight so I pulled out the new In The Park set from Taylored Expressions and paired it with some of the new Echo Park patterned paper.   The green gingham and the green scallops are part of the Summertime Project Pantry Kit

The sketch is this week's Taylored Expressions Sketch #121.  This is such a fun layout!  I stamped the bench in Memento tuxedo Black and colored with Copics.  The circles were cut out with Classic Circle Nestabilities.  Of course, I couldn't finish the card without rounding some corners with my Corner Chomper!  LOVE that tool!

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!  Thanks for stopping by!

Papertrey Posse Color Challenge!

Hi there!  It's time for the Papertrey Posse Parade of blogs!  This month Amy challenged us to what I thought would be a difficult color challenge!  But I actually loved these colors in the end!!  Thanks, Amy!

The colors are Ocean Tides, Aqua Mist, Melon Berry and Dark Chocolate.

I paired it with this sketch from the Papertrey Paper Dolls challenge #10.  Love their challenges but I don't always have time to participate!

I was trying to figure out how to incorporate these colors together and a lightbulb went off in my mind.....make some background paper using all four colors!  I pulled out Distressed Stripes and got to work.  I love these colors together in plaid!  I pulled out my beloved Friend's 'Til the End and stamped the smaller flower in Dark Chocolate on Melon Berry Bitty Dot dp.  The leaves are Ocean Tides felt and were cut out with the smaller leaf die from the Delightful Dahlia die set.  I did take the small leaf stamp from Delightful Dahlia and stamp over the felt leaf in Dark Chocolate.  The Aqua Mist bg was stamped in Dark Chocolate using Background Basics: Tin Types. The Dark Chocolate felt scallops were cut with the medium scallop die.
The Details:
Create a card using the colors provided below - Ocean Tides, Aqua Mist, Melon Berry, and Dark Chocolate (or something close if you don't have these on hand).

Use at least one PTI product on your card.

Post your creation to your blog on July 15th for our official Papertrey Posse Parade of Blogs!

On July 15th, after you have posted your card, stop by and sign Mr. Linky on the official Parade of Blogs July 2010 post.

Everyone is invited to play along!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a great day!

Hi there everyone!  It's Tuesday and it's time for another one of Mercy's sketches!!  I don't know how she does it week after week, but this is another fab sketch!  I combined today's sketch with TCPTues117.  The TCP challenge was to use the colors Lime, Golden Yellow and Raspberry.  Now my raspberry is more pink, but I hope the TCP police won't mind!  LOL!  I love this TCP set, Joyride.  This bunny just cracks me up!

Don't forget to check out what the rest of Mercy's Muse's did with today's sketch!

Taylored Expressions Release Day!

Hi there!  It's release day at Taylored Expressions!  Everything you've seen this week is available for purchase in the Taylored Expressions Store!

I have three cards to show you today so let's get to it!

This card uses the new set called In The Park!  I paired it with a new big background stamp called Stitched Plaid Big Background and the Summertime Project Pantry Kit.  I rounded all of the corners with the Corner Chomper!  All of the images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic markers.  The grass was punched with the Martha Stewart Grass Punch!  Love how bright and cheery this card is!

This card uses Destination Cuppie in Seattle!  Can I just say that this is my favorite Cuppie card I've ever made?  Don't know why, but it is!  I stamped Cuppie in Memento Tuxedo Black, drew in the sidewalk myself and colored everything with Copic markers and my Prismacolor Pencils. He was cut out with Labels 8 Nestabilities.   The dp is a combo of October Afternoon dp.

My last card uses the new Destination Cuppie in San Francisco.  Now, this Bay Area native had to use San Francisco Cuppie!  I used a combo of October Afternoon papers again, but made this one a bit more bright and sunny....although it isn't always sunny in San Francisco!  Cuppie was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored with Copics and cut out with Oval Nestabilities. I thought it would be fun to add some sand, too!  What do you think?

Don't forget to check out the rest of the Baker's Dozen and our super talented Guest Designer, Stacey Schaefer!

My card uses the new Weigh To Go set!  What a fun set this is!  Perfect for all the dieters out there!!  I paired this set with Cosmo Cricket DeLovely dp.  I paper pieced the dress and cut it out with Oval and Big Scallop Oval Nestabilities.  The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut out with a Ribbon Tag Trio die by Spellbinders.  The ribbon and buttons are from my stash.  And of course, I had to use my beloved Corner Chomper!  I love the look of just one corner rounded!  A little machine stitching and it was done!  Fun and bright!!

Feeling Groovy about Taylored Expressions!

Hi there and welcome to day one of sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions!  We have so much in store for you this week!  Half of the Baker's Dozen is showing you peeks of a brand new set called Feeling Groovy along with it's coordinating That 70's Project Pantry Kit.  The other half of the Baker's Dozen is showing you peeks of our newest A la Carte stamps:  Destination Cuppie!  Everything you see previewed today will be available at the Taylored Expression store this Thursday, July 8th at 8:00 am PST.

My card today features the new and totally hip Feeling Groovy!  Peace signs are EVERYWHERE!  I have two young girls and you cannot walk into any accessory store or clothing store without seeing Peace signs!  My girls actually squealed along with me when we first saw this set!  And I, of, course, love the bug.  In fact, I have already informed my hubby that my next car when the kids are grown will be a convertible bug!  But I digress.....

This "radical" set consists of 11 "sweet" sentiments and 11 "groovy" images.  I chose to work with this particular "Bug" image.  All of the cardstock (except the Kraft), designer paper (Doodlebug Feeling Groovy Collection) and ribbon are from the coordinating That 70's Project Pantry Kit.  I stamped the "Bug" in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it in with Copic markers.  It was cut out with circle Nestabilties and while it was still in the die I sponged on some Summer Sunrise ink.  I stamped the three sentiments in Hibiscus Burst pigment ink and cut them out free handed.  The wavy border is an EK Success punch and the ribbon is from the That 70's Project Pantry!

Now don't forget to check out the rest of the Baker's DT to see what they've made with today's sneak peeks!

Joyride with Becky.....

Hi there and Happy Friday!!  I have a card to show you today with some brand new stamps that I recently purchased from The Cat's Pajamas.  I have long been admiring these adorable images and after a recent conversation with my good friend, Becky, so had she!!  So we both purchased this set called Joyride and decided to make something with it and post it together on the same day!  A challenge of sorts!  So make sure you check out what Becky has done with this set, too!  I can't wait to see!!

Okay, so onto a few details.....I used this week's TCP Tuesday Challenge #116 for my card.  The challenge was to use colored pencils with mineral spirits.  I pulled out my once loved and now neglected (thanks to my Copic markers) Prismacolor Pencils and had to search for my gamsol (odorless mineral spirits) and my stumps.  Luckily they weren't that hard to find and after dusting them off (hehe) I got to work coloring this darling image!  I forgot how much fun this coloring technique is!!  I created a little round scene with a road, mountains and sky!  The dp is My Mind's Eye Be Loved.  I love the pop of pink on the scooter.  If I was a really girly girl, which I'm not, I think I would love a pink scooter!!

Well, thank you for stopping by!  I've got a couple errands to run and then hopefully some more stamping time later today!!  Have a good one!

Stamps: Enjoy the Ride (The Cat's Pajamas)
Paper:  Kraft, Hawaiian Shores, True Black, My Mind's Eye Be Loved dp
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol, Tea Dye Distress Ink (for sponging Kraft)
Accessories & Tools:  Gingham Ribbon, Wavy Border Punch (EK Success), Hawaiian Shores Button, Circle Nestabilities, Corner Chomper,  Adhesive Gems, Foam Tape
