Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek Day One!

Hi there and welcome to the first day of sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions!  Today the Baker's Dozen has samples from two new sets, Spring Wreath Petite Stamp set and It's a Banner Day 2 with coordinating Banner Day 2 die, plus the new Spring A la Carte stamp!  There is so much to see so I'll get right to it!

My sample here uses the new Spring Wreath Petite set.  This set is the 3rd in the seasonal wreath series concepted by Jami Sibley and beautifully illustrated by Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes Line.  It's a set of 7 stamps consisting of 5 images and 2 sentiments on deeply etched red rubber mounted on EZ Mount already trimmed and ready to use.  This set also coordinates with the Taylored Dies Seasonal Wreath and Basic Bow.

I used the adorable whimsical flower from the set paired with the three stem image from Friendship Blooms.  The flowers were colored with Copics and Copic Spica Glitter pens, cut out and popped up for dimension.  All of the patterned paper, cardstock and brads are from the Spring Project Pantry Kit.  I am in love with these fun bright papers!!  The sentiment is from It's a Banner Day 1.  The banner was stamped in Berrylicious Fluid Chalk Ink and cut out with the coordinating It's a Banner Day 1 die.  Some machine stitching finishes it off.

My next sample uses the new It's a Banner Day 2 and coordinating Banner Day 2 die.  It is the.
2nd set in the It's a Banner Day series concepted by Iwona Palamountain (Chupa) and illustrated by Taylor for the TE Line.  It is a set of 9 images (3 banners and 6 sentiments) made from deeply etched red rubber mounted on EZ Mount.  It coordinates with the new Banner Day 2 die.

My sample today uses It's a Banner Day 2 paired with a flower from an Easter set from last year, Favorite Peeps.  Again, all of the patterned papers, ribbon and cardstock are from the Spring Project Pantry Kit.  The flower was colored with Copics, cut out and popped up on foam tape.  I actually cut a little window in the patterned paper to frame the flower.  The banner was stamped in Berrylicious Fluid Chalk Ink and cut out with the coordinating Banner Day 2 die.  Some ribbon and machine stitching finish it off.

It's time to hop around to see what the other girls have cooked up with today's sets:

Viva la Verve Thank You

Hi there!  Happy Friday!  Can you believe that it is almost the end of February?  Sheesh.....the first two months of this year have flown by!  With a new month on the horizon, we're also starting a new month of Viva la Verve sketches over in the Verve Forum on Splitcoaststampers!  If you love a good sketch challenge and love the chance to win awesome prizes just for participating, check out all the details here.  We'd love to have you play along!

Our host this week is the sweet and wildly talented Amber.  She has an awesome sketch for us this week.  I did replace the upper star embellisment with some more of the pearl flourishes and I love the look!  I used the Verve set Sweet Treats (currently sold out) and the Classy Label and Embossed Oval Cut Above Dies.  I stamped the classy label shape from Sweet Treats with Charcoal Fluid Chalk Ink and cut it out with scissors.  I layered it on a Vintage Cream Classy Label die cut.  The sentiment was stamped with the same ink and was cut out with the Embossed Oval die.  I added some Prisma Glitter to the debossed portion of the die with a glue pen.  I added a border made with the Die-namics Dainty Doily Edge die from MFT.  Some ribbon, machine stitching and some pearl accents (flourish and stick pins) finish the card.

Thanks for stopping by!

Bear Hugs & Kisses {TCPTues147}

Hi there!  I come to you today with the card I made for this week's TCP Tuesday challenge!  Sony is our Hipster Hostess with the Mostess and she challenged us to a fun fun color challenge!  When I first saw these colors I was a bit skeered, but that changed once I sat down to make my card!

I used the TCP set, Bear Hugs and paired the adorable bear with some Echo Park Little Girl papers!  The bear was colored with Copics and the heart was paper pieced.  I used the Cut Ups Button dies for the buttons and tied each with some Divine Twine.  The chocolate border was done with the Cut Ups Apron Border Die.  Some rounded corners with my Corner Chomper and some machine stitching finish the card!  LOVE these colors together!!

You're Dino-Mite! {SSSC105}

Hi there!  I hope you all had a nice weekend!  Hubby and I got a little alone time without the kids (my Mom and Dad took them for the night) and we got to see True Grit and go out to dinner at one of our fave restaurants!  It was great!

I had some time today so I played in my hilarious friend Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch!  What a fun sketch!  I actually used the same image she did!  This card is going to my nephew who I don't see often enough!

I stamped the dinosaur from the Taylored Expressions set, Kid at Heart, in Pumpkin Spice fluid chalk ink twice, popping one up for dimension.  I colored in some dirt and grass myself.  It was cut out with Circle Nestabilities.  The patterned paper is Echo Park Little Boy dp. I used some baker's twine and a button to mimic the long piece in the sketch and added the sentiment in the upper left corner.

Well that's all from me today!

Viva la Verve.....Congrats!

Hi there and Happy Saturday!!  It's rainy and COLD here in California, though maybe not COLD like many of you experience in your parts of the country, but COLD by my standards!  It's days like these that make me happy to sit in my cozy house and get crafty!

Today's card uses this week's Viva la Verve sketch from my wildly talented friend and fellow Diva, Andrea Ewen.  I had to use my new My Mind's Eye Stella And Rose Hazel papers, they're so awesome!  I also used my FAVE Verve set, To the Moon.  I cannot put this set down!  I hadn't yet inked up the adorable monkey so I got him inky today.  He was colored with Copics, cut out and popped up for dimension.  The frame by stamping the frame inage from the set and cutting it out with two different sized Square Nestabilities.  I used a button and some Divine Twine and sort of framed the image.  Some machine stitching, a sentiment and some adhesive gems finish the card.

You can find all the Viva La Verve details here.  And don't forget to check out the Verve Store for some Sweet Deals!!  These sets will be on sale through the end of the February!  You don't want to miss out!

It's Wednesday and time for MFT's Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch!  This week's sketch is FANTASTIC!  I could make a million cards with just this sketch!  LOL!

I used the adorable new Pure Innocence Image, Because You're Special.  She was colored with Copics and her clothes and the flower pot were paper pieced with some new Stella and Rose papers from My Minds Eye.  This particular paper pad is called Hattie.  I ordered all of the new MME paper pads the on Friday.  I was enabled by Jody......

Anywho...back to the card.  I used the Die-namics Rolled Flower Die for the rolled flowers.  I put a little adhesive gem in the middle of them as well as the flower in the PI's hair.  Some Corner Chomped rounded corners and machine stitchine finish it off!

I used the new set, Love Notes, for my card, paired with the Jotted Heart Die.  The papers are Cosmo Cricket Togetherness (perfect for a Valentine!).  The sentiments were machine stitched to the heart.  I rounded the corners with the Corner Chomper.  I used the pearl flourish in place of the little envelope in the sketch.  Some crinkled ribbon and heart stick pins finish it off!  This card is my hubby's Valentine!  Hope he doesn't think it's too girly!!

TCP Tuesday 145 {with TCPTues144 Sketch}

Hi there!  It's TCP Tuesday at The Cat's Pajamas and
Jen is our Hipster Hostess with the Mostess!  She has given us this gorgeous picture to use as inspiration for our card!  Aren't those colors amazing?  I used the colors as inspiration for my card!

I used a new set from TCP that I hadn't gotten inky until today, Spring Rain.  Isn't she adorable?  Reminds me of the Muppets!  Love her face!  Anywho.....I stamped her in Memento Black and colored her in with Copics.  Her umbrella and skirt were paper pieced with some October Afternoon dp.  The sketch is last week's TCP Tuesday sketch (TCPTues144) from Leigh O'Brien.  The dp is all a mix of scraps from different October Afternoon packs (Farm Fresh and Fly a Kite).  I used the Cut Ups Apron Die for the swirls down the side.  Some machine stitching, a chocolate button and baker's twine finish the card.

For all the details on today's TCP Tuesday challenge, just head on over to Alma's blog!

Good Saturday Morning!!  I'm SO GLAD it's the weekend!  We are expecting more beautiful weather here in California and it's SUPERBOWL WEEKEND!!  LOVE it!  Not a fan of either team, but love watching the Superbowl every year!  The food, the commercials and the entertainment!!  Fun!

Anywho....I have a card today that I made for Verve's last release that I never posted here!  It uses the new set, Love Notes and the new Jotted Heart Die.  I think this last release was one of my fave's of all time!  The papers are Echo Park Be Mine.  The sketch is one from Jen del Muro last year, but I tilted a few of the panels, something I love to do lately!  I know Marisa will appreciate my tilted panels!

Some fun embellishments finish the card!!

Taylored Expressions Release Day!!

It's release day at Taylored Expressions!  Everything you seen this week from the Baker's Dozen is now available in the Taylored Expression Store!

The Baker's Dozen has a round of new samples today using each of the new sets, so before run over to the TE store, why don't you hop around for some more inspiration?

My sample today uses the new Fashionista set!  I just love the shoes!  Especially the one I used on my card today.

I stamped the shoe and stand were colored with Copic markers.  The dp is Crate Paper Restoration.  The sketch is Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch 102.  I pulled a Dankari (that's a mix of Danielle and Sankari) by using Liquid Pearls around my main image.  Not as pretty as their liquid pearl masterpieces, but not bad for a first time!!   I only dropped it once while the liquid pearls were wet!!  LOL!  Some ribbon and a twine bow button finish the card!

You can find all of the new goodies you've seen this week in the Fresh Out of the Oven Category!

Now it's time to see what the rest of the Baker's Dozen has cooked up for today!

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks Day 3!

Welcome to day three of Sneak Peeks from Taylored Expressions!!  On the menu today is a DARLING new set called It's a Banner Day 1 (first in a series!!).  This set was concepted by Iwona Palamountain, aka Chupa to a lot of us, and was designed by Taylor herself for the TE Line!  It also has a coordinating die!  SQUEAL!!

For my project today I used a new item that Taylor will be carrying in her store, acrylic shadowbox frames!  This particular frame is called Raine Small.  I was truly stumped when I got this and what I was going to do with it, but I am definitely getting more because they make the CUTEST projects.....and SO EASY!!

I paired my It's a Banner Day banner with one of my fave sets from TE, Beary Special!  I colored the darling bear with Copics, paper piecing his ears, feet and patch.  All of the papers are the new and YUMMY Basic Grey Hopscotch papers.  The banner was stamped in Toffee Fluid Chalk Ink and was cut out with the coordinating Banner Die.

Here is a sideview so you can see the shadow box.  The bear was popped up on foam tape!  Oh, and I wanted to paint the sides of the frame but didn't have a coordinating ink.  LOL

Don't forget to check out what the rest of the Baker's Dozen plus our special Guest Chupa has cooked up for today and

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks Day 2!!

It's day two of sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions and on the menu today are two new sets!  Fashionista from the Apple Doodle Ink line and Wreath of Luck, concepted by Jami Sibley and designed by Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes Line!  Both sets are fantastic and I have a sample from each set.....So let's get started!

First up is Fashionista!  Tena is back with a love of shoes!  Fashionista is a set of 24 deeply etched red rubber stamps mounted on cling foam.  I used just two of the 18 stamps on my card today.  I am a lover of shoes, although now that I have kids I can't always indulge in that love!  LOL

I stamped the sentiment three times, cutting it out with a circle punch.  I then stamped the darling pump three times, colored each with Copics, adding some sparkle to the flower with a Red Copic Spica Glitter pen.  Each shoe was punched out with a circle punch and finished with an adhesive gem in the center of the flower.  The papers are Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934.  Some machine stitching, crinkle ribbon and two heart pins finish it off!

This card was made with the new Wreath of Luck Petite set!  Wreath of Luck contains 9 images just perfect for St. Patrick's Day! Taylor is also releasing a Lucky Sampler, a sampling of many embellishments and papers that are green and perfect for St. Patrick's Day, or if you just love green!  The glitter candy dots on my card are from that kit!

I used a mix of October Afternoon papers on my card.....I just chose all of the green patterns!  I stamped the wreath from the set in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored it with Copic Markers and cut it out with the coordinating Wreath Die.  It was popped up on foam tape for dimension.  Some machine stitching and baker's twine finish it off.  The sketch is last week's Mojo Monday sketch, Mojo175.
