Happy Bird-day! {MFTWSC13}

It's Wednesday and time for this week's Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch from My Favorite Things!  I look forward to this day every week!  I just love these sketches!

I made this card for my beautiful daughter, Lauren, who is celebrating her 12th birthday today!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LOU!!!  I LOVE YOU!  (she is also subscribed to my blog, so I know she'll see this!)

I used the You're So Tweet Pure Innocence image and paired her with some fun papers from the Jillibean Soup Blossom Soup 6x6 pad.  The heart was made with the Die-namics Hearts a Plenty Dies.  I rounded a some of the corners with my Corner Chomper and finished the card with some machine stitching, and a button tied with a Divine Twine bow.

TCP Release Blog Hop plus {TCPTues152}!

Hi there!  It's Release Day at The Cat's Pajamas and we're celebrating with a Blog Hop!  If you've arrived here from the mind blowingly talented, Leigh, then you're in the right spot.  If you've just happened along you can start from the beginning at the Fabulous Julie's Blog.

Everything you've seen during Sneaky Peek Week is now available at the TCP Store!

We're also combining this hop with this week's TCP Tuesday challenge, TCPTues152!  Julie is our Hostess with the Mostess and she challenged us to make a shaped card.  The catch?  No rectangles, squares or CIRCLES!!  This was a tough challenge for me, but I came out on the other end with a card!  LOL!

I used the just released Wet Puddle and paired the darling Audrey with a Cloud Card Template from Paper Smooches.  This, my friends, is a one layer card.  I don't do one layer cards successfully!  What do you think?

I printed the template on PTI White cardstock and cut it out with scissors.  I stamped the oval for the puddle (an old Amuse stamp) and then embossed the entire template with the Seeing Spots embossing folder.  Audrrey was colored colored with Copics, her raincoat and rainboots paper pieced with the gorgeous Emma's Shoppe papers by Crate Paper.  Some twinkles were added to the buttons on her coat.  I made her rainboots and the puddle shiny with some Ranger Glossy Accents.  Some felt clouds finish the card.

Detail shot.......

Your next stop on this hop is to the hilarious and also mind blowingly talented, Susan!

Simply Said Birthday.....

Hi there!!  Today marks the final day for sneaky peek week over at The Cat's Pajamas!  We follow up tonight with our Pajama Release party over in the TCP Forums on Splitcoaststampers!  The party starts at 8:00 pm EST and all the stamp sets and dies you've seen peeked this entire week will be available for purchase immediately following the party!  Hope to see you there!

I have a peek of a new Swanky Sentiment set call Simply Said!  So let's get right to it!

Simply Said is a set of 25 stamps, 14 MUST HAVE sentiments and 11 images to jazz up the sentiments.  I chose to go fun and whimsical with my card.  My beautiful daughter, Lauren, will be celebrating her 12th birthday this Wednesday and this card will be tucked away as a surprise in her backpack because she is participating in her first school play and will be at school ALL DAY on her birthday with the final push for rehearsals before the play opens on Thursday night!  She's a bit bummed that we can't really celebrate yet, so I think this will make her happy!

The "birthday ribbon" was made with the CutUps Rosette Die (LOVE).  The die includes a large and small rosette and the notched strip.  The other dies I used are the CutUps Button Die and CutUps Icing Die.  The papers are Jillibean Soup Spotted Owl Soup.  My daughter's favorite colors.....blue and green!  Some machine stitching and my FAVE Divine Twine in Apple Green finish the card!

TCP Sneak Peek ~ A Girl and Her Cake

I'm back with another sneak peek from The Cat's Pajamas!  Today we're peeking the new set A Girl and Her Cake.  That adorable bunny is back with her big ears and some yummy birthday cake!  I've also got a peek of the new and FABULOUS Cut Ups Easy Rosette and Grass Die!   I won't keep you hangin'......let's get right to it!

I colored the adorable bunny with Copics, adding some Liquid Pearls to the icing on the cake and an adhesive pearl to her bow.  I used the Cut Ups Grass Die as a border instead of grass...love the look.  See the rosettes?  SWOON!  I used the smaller rosette (just half) on the upper portion of the card and the larger rosette die underneath the sentiment!  Some Aqua Divine Twine and a coordinating button and some machine stitching finish the card.  All of the papers are from the Jillibean Soup Blossom Soup 6x6 pad.

Alma has put together a fantastic video tutorial on the new Cut Ups Easy Rosette Die.  You can check it out here.

Verve Release Spotlight Hop ~ Egg-stra Special

Hi there!  Today marks day two of the Verve Release Spotlight Hop!  Today the Diva's are highlighting the new ADORABLE set, Egg-stra Special.  This is a perfect Easter set but also SO CUTE for just everyday!

I decided to go round for my card!  Shaped cards are so much fun, yet I rarely make them!!  I stamped the adorable chick in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her with Copics.  She was cut out and popped up for dimension.  I thought she needed a little something more, so I covered the shell in Ranger Crackle Accents (you can see better in the pic below).  The banner is actually a piece of patterned paper....just cut out the banner pattern and draped it across the top.  Three stamped flowers from Egg-stra Special and some Divine Twine finish the banner.  The sentiment comes from the final set we're peeking tomorrow.  Some machine stitching and liquid pears finish the card!

A close up of the Crackle Accents on the eggshell.....

Verve New Release Spotlight Hop ~ Lucky Ducky

Hi there!!  Today marks the first of three days for Release Spotlight Hops from Verve!!  This month's release is all about spring whimsy, lucky ducks and hip chicks and we're starting things off with a look at our brand new mini set and plain jane.  If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck... well, then, it's probably a Lucky Ducky, which is today's featured set!  All the new stamps and dies you see over the next three days will be available following our ReLeAsE pArTy this Friday night from 9-11pm Eastern.

Lucky Ducky is a set of five stamps consisting of two different ducky images and three awesome sentiments!  A must have little set, IMO!

I paired one of the ducky images with the Frame from To The Moon to make my card.  All of the papers are from the Jillibean Soup Dutch Mustard Soup 6x6 pad.  I can't get enough of these papers!  The image was framed with Square and Labels 16 Nestabilities.  The sentiment was cut out with the largest (it's a set of three) NEW Charming Oval A Cut Above Dies.   I punched some holes in the ends with a small hole punch and threaded my much loved Divine Twine through to adhere it to the card.  The border at the bottom was done with the Dainty Doily Die from MFT.  Some machine stitching and an adhesive pearl flourish finish the card.

It's Wednesday and time for this week's Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch from MFT!  We have another fabulous sketch this week!

I used my new Fred Bear Oopsie Daisies set and paired him with a sentiment from the Heart Stripes Pure Innocence stamp set.  The papers are one of my new favorite Jillibean Soup 6x6 sets, Dutch Mustard Soup.  I just love the fun colors in this paper pad!  The flowers were made with the Die-namics Upsy Daisy Dies and were finished off with some Brown Sugar Divine Twine.

Welcome Little Baby {VLVMar2011}

Hi there!  I am this week's Viva la Verve host in the Verve Forums on Splitcoaststampers.  I have what I think is a SUPER fun sketch for you to play with!  You can check out all of the details here.

I pulled out To the Moon AGAIN!  I seriously reach for this set all the time!  I am not really in need of any baby cards, yet I keep making them!  HA!  I used some new Jillibean Soup Dutch Mustard Soup papers for my card.  LOVE the colors in this paper pad!  Three of the animals were stacked on top of one another.  See the fun kites?  I paper pieced them and tied them to the monkey's tail with Divine Twine.  Some rounded corners and stitching finish the card!

Well, that's all from me today!  I hope you all have a great weekend!  I'll be stamping away getting ready for  Verve's newest release beginning next week!  You don't want to miss this release!  It's too cute!

TCP Tuesday on Thursday.....

Hi there!!  It's TCP Tuesday on a Thursday!!  Leigh is our Hostess with the Mostess this week and she gave us an AWESOME sketch to play with!  Have you ever had days when the card you make just comes together so easy?  Well, that was how this card came together!!  It doesn't happen often for me, so I'm gonna brag a little!  HA!

I used Whale of a Time for my card.  I paired my fave little whale with some MME Stella and Rose Hazel papers.  The triangles on the bottom layer were made with CutUps Pennant Dies and the waves with the CutUps Wave Die.  Oh, and see the button?  Made that with the CutUps Button die and a thin coaster!  If feels sturdy like a regular button.  It was covered with a pattern from the MME Hazel pad.  And of course, I can't make a card without my divine Oyster DIVINE TWINE!  I can't tell you how much I love Divine Twine.  I have seriously thought of getting rid of most of my ribbon and replacing it with just Divine Twine, but I guess that wouldn't be too smart!  LOL!  Some machine stitching and sentiment flag finish the card.

Want to play along with TCP Tuesday?  You can find all the details here.

Well, that's all from me today!  I hope you have a good one!
