MFTeasers: Day One!

Hi there!  It's day one of teasers from My Favorite Things and today we are showing you three new sets:  Fred Bear Takes a Hike, You Move Me and Clearly Sentimental About The Journey

I have a sample using the adorable new Fred Bear Takes A Hike:

Fred Bear was colored with Copics.  I cut him out with square Nestabilities.  The sentiment was cut out with the new Die-namics File Tab Die (L.O.V.E.).  The scallops at the bottom were made with the Die-namics Stacked Open Scallop Die (currently sold out).  Some rounded corners and chocolate crochet ribbon finish the card.  The patterned papers are Jillibean Soup Dutch Mustard Soup.

Have a Lovely Day! {MFTWSC26}

Hi there!  It's Wednesday and it's time for another My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge!  I was so happy I was able to participate this week!  We have a great sketch for you so I hope you'll play along.  You'll find all of the details on the sketch in the MFT Forums!

First off, I changed my sketch to a square card because I love to make square cards!  I used the adorable Pure Innocence Rose image.  She was paper pieced, cut out and popped up for dimension on a the larger die from the Die-namics Dainty Doily Duo.  A sentiment flag and some red satin ribbon finish the card.  The patterned paper is from the Cosmo Cricket Odds & Ends 6x6 pad.

A detail shot.....

This is my second post for today.  To see my TCP Tuesday Challenge post just scroll down!  Thanks!

Hi there!  I'm back today to share with you a card I made when I was lucky enough to be a part of the Splitcoast Dirty Dozen!  This card is from March 2011 and the theme for that month was Black Tie.  This was a fun challenge for me because (believe it or not) I was always really afraid to use black on my cards!

I used one of my favorite images from My Favorite Things, Flopsey.  This image is called Flopsey's Flowers.  I paired him with some beautiful Crate Paper Portrait Collection papers.  Flopsey was colored with Copics,cut out and popped up for dimension.  Some adhesive rhinestones were added to the flower centers.  Black satin ribbon, rounded corners and machine stitching finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll be back tomorrow with my card for the next MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge!

TCP Release Blog Hop!

Hi there everyone!  It's release day at The Cat's Pajamas and we're celebrating with a blog hop!  Everything you've seen peeked this past week is now available to purchase at the TCP store!

If you've arrived here from Nancy Thomas' blog, then you're in the right place.  To start the hop from the beginning then head on over to Leigh's blog!

We've combined the blog hop with today's TCP Tuesday challenge.  Leigh is our Hostess with the Mostess and she gave us a great sketch to work with......

I Wheelie Love You:

I used the just released set, Wheel Love for my card.  The sketch was flipped to accomodate my image.  The adorable bunny was stamped on patterned paper (got this idea from Jenny) and was colored with Copics.  The bunny was stamped a second time, colored with Copics, cut out and adhered to the bike.  I used some more of the luscious seam binding that TCP released tonight and tied a nice fluffy double bow.  LOTS of distressing and some stitching give some nice detail.  The sentiment flag was made using the Easy Rosette Die (the attached sentiment flag) and was curved and popped up for a little dimension.  Some adhesive gems on the wheels finish the card!

In this pic you can see all the sparkle on the flowers.  This was done using a Red Copic Spica Glitter pen.

Okay.....onto my card using the new set Kick Some Grass

Isn't that sentiment HILARIOUS?  My fave bunny is back today sitting in a field of grass and flowers.  So cute!  The image was colored with Copics (E41, E42 and E43, R20, R21, YG23, YG25, RV63, RV66).  To finish the main image I addeds ome adhesive gems, rounded one corner and sewed around all the edges except the bottom.  The sentiment was sponged with Lime Pastel Fluid Chalk Ink before removing from the die.  I used the Cut Ups Big Scallop Die at the bottom and finished with some more gorgeous Rose Seam Binding, some rounded corners and a little more machine stitching.  The papers are MME Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky.

And Away We Go! {TCP Sneaky Peek Week}

Hi there!  I'm back with another sneaky peek from The Cat's Pajamas!  Today we have a DARLING new set to show you called Away We Go!  I won't keep you waiting!

I told you it was cute!  I just love these bunny images....they put me in a great mood!

The balloon was paper pieced and I couldn't resist using the new Cut Ups Cloud Border Die (again!).  I cut the clouds from felt, machine stitching through the bottom border.  The bunny was popped for some dimension.  I also used the Cut Ups Pinking Border at the bottom.  Oh, and see that gorgeous seam binding?  It is also new for this release and comes in the most beautiful colors.  This color is Rose.  I tied a nice big double bow with it.  LOVE.  All the papers are Echo Park Springtime.

Detail shot...............

You Make Me Happy {TCP Sneaky Peek Day 2}

Hi there everyone!  It's day 2 of sneaky peek week from The Cat's Pajamas and today I have the CUTEST new PJ set to show you called Bearing Flowers.  I have paired Bearing Flowers with a new Cut Ups Rosette Sunflower die!  This card is also for this week's TCP Tuesday Challenge.  Susan is our Hostess with the Mostess and she challenged us to use any Bear stamps!  Easy Peasy!  I won't keep you any longer.....

You Make Me Happy:

PJ was colored with Copics, cut out and was popped up for dimension.  The sunflowers (swoon) were cut out of patterned paper and shadowed with some Copics to match the color of the sunflower PJ is holding.  See the embossed flower center?  The sunflower die does that just by running it through your fave die cutting machine.  Love.  I used the Cut Ups Big Scallop die on the side panel.  Some Brown Sugar Divine Twine with a button and rounded corners finish the card!

Just a note:  The new Cut Ups Rosette Sunflower Die can be used flat like I used it here, or you can cut two flowers and use the mountain/valley fold to make it into a Rosette Sunflower....hence the name, Rosette Sunflower!  Can't wait to give that a try!

If you've just happened along then head on over to Kim's Blog to start from the beginning!

This month's kit is AWESOME!!  I just love WTG as a mermaid and had a blast making this card!  She was colored with Copics and glittered up a bit with some glitter.  The scallops were made with the Die-namics Simply Scallop Die.  The papers are Echo Park Splash.  The sentiment was masked so I could put the first portion on the front and the rest on the inside.  Some machine stitching, twine and a button finish the card!

Here's a shot of the inside....

Sneaky Peek Week at The Cat's Pajamas!

This is my second post today.  To see my MFT mid-month teaser post just scroll down.  Thanks!

Hi there everyone!  Today marks the first day of Sneaky Peek Week from The Cat's Pajamas and you are in for a TREAT!!!!  The release is next week and each and every new stamp set and CutUps Die is FABULOUS!!!  Today we're sharing sneaks of an adorable new set called Take Off.   This set is adorable....so I won't keep you any longer!

My Head's In The Clouds For You:

Isn't this ADORABLE?  And do you see the cloud border?  That is the new CutUps Cloud Border die, also part of this new release.  I cut the clouds out of felt and what I love about this die is that you can easily cut the clouds apart like I did for the individual clouds at the top. The bunny was colored with Copics and the plane was paper pieced. I also added some Glossy Accents to his glasses.  The papers are MME Lime Twist Fly a Kite and the sketch is a Sweet Sunday Sketch from a few weeks ago!

Alma has a complete list of all the participating Cat Packer's sneaking Take Off on her blog.  I can assure you that the girls have made some ADORABLE cards with this set!  You will not be disappointed!

Thank you for stopping by!  I hope you have a great day!

She is so fun!  She was colored with Copic markers and her shirt was paper pieced.   I paired her with some pretty Blossom Soup papers from Jillibean Soup.  The flowers were made with my fave Die-namics Pretty Posies dies and the border down the side was done with the new Die-namics Open Bracket Border die.  Some machine stitching finished the card.
