Martini On Me!

Hi there and welcome to à la mode teaser day from My Favorite Things!!  I LOVE this day!  Today we have two new à la modes to introduce to you, An Apple For Teacher and Martinis On Me.  They are both teriffic sets!

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer!

I used Martinis On Me for my card today.  She is so sassy sitting in that big Martini glass!  The Die-namics I used were Circle STAX Sets 1 and 2, the Pinking Edge Die, and First Place Award Ribbon for the sentiment. Some linen thread wound around five times and tied with a button, plus a little stitching finish the card.  All the papers are Cosmo Cricket Tea For Two.

Here are the Die-namics I used:

I'd Marry You.....

Hi there and welcome to day three of teasers from My Favorite Things!  Today we are introducing Clearly Sentimental About Anniversaries and Big Greetings.  They are two terrific sentiment sets!

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer!

My hubby, Frank, and I will be celebrating our 16 year wedding anniversary in early May and because of Clearly Sentimental About Anniversaries I am ahead of the card making game for once!  He loves the cards I make for him and complains I don't do it often enough!  HA!  Well, take that, Mr. Frank!  LOL

I paired Clearly Sentimental About Anniversaries with the Die-namics Hearts a Plenty, the Die-namics Layered Hearts Dies and the Die-namics Pinking Edge die.  The largest heart was cut using some corrugated cardboard.  I threaded some Flax twine through the holes and tied the two ends together to make a bow.    A button and some machine stitching finish the card.  All of the patterned papers are Authentique Loyal 6x6.  Nice masculine colors....even if I did add a twine bow....Frank won't mind a little bow, or sewing, or a button : )

Hi-YA!

Hi there and welcome to the second day of teasers from My Favorite Things!  Today we are introducing Inspired By Knowledge and Kung Fu Fred!

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer.

I used Kung Fu Fred for my card along with the AWESOME new Die-namics Circle STAX 1 and 2 and the Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX.  I am in love with the STAX line of Die-namics!

Fred was colored with Copics and the wood stump was colored and cut out a second time and popped up on foam tape for some dimension.  The sentiment was cut out using the Die-namics Circle STAX 1 and 2.  I love that these dies emboss on the FIRST pass.  The fishtails under Fred were made with the Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX.  I cut one from patterned paper and the other from white cardstock and adhered them together one shorter than the other to give the white border to the fishtail.  Some machine stitching finishes the front.  The patterned papers are MME Miss Caroline "Fiddlesticks" 6x6.

Get Better {MFTWSC65}

Hi there!  It's Wednesday and time for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch Challenge!  We have another awesome sketch for you to play with!

Head on over to the MFT blog for a link to each designer!

I made a card today for a friend of my daughter who broke her wrist at cheerleading tryouts : (  She had surgery yesterday to reset the bone and I thought we might lift her spirits with a card!

I used the Pure Innocence image, Better Get Better and the following Die-namics:  Open Scallop Doily Duo, Simply Scallops Large, Bontanical Beauty, Mini Pennant, Mini Wavy Pennant, and First Place Award Ribbon for the sentiment.

The image was colored with Copics.  I finished it with a rounded corner and some machine stitching.  I found this awesome corrugated cardboard sold by the sheet at my LSS a couple weeks ago and used it to cut the open scallop circle, scallops and flower.  Some linen thread a button and some machine stitching finish the card.

March Creative Chat from My Favorite Things

Hi there!  It's time for the March Creative Chat from My Favorite Things!  This month's focus is on stamps:

Show us how you store your MFT stamps.
Any tips or tricks on organization?

My stamp organization is nothing new or outstanding, but it works for me at this point.  As a lover of stamps, my collection is always growing and room is hard to come by in my little house, so after searching for a long time I finally decided on a method that was easy on the wallet and clutter free.  My method?  IKEA storage!

Our house is a 2 bed/1bath and my crafting area is in a small area at the back of our bedroom. We recently redid our girls' bedroom and I inherited two of their Expedit bookcases.  I store my stamps (and other paper crafting supplies) in the white Kassett CD and Kassett DVD boxes.  It looks clean and neat which makes my very neat and organized hubby happy.  We are embarking on a bedroom redo of our own in April, so please ignore the ugly green carpeting in my room.  It will soon be a thing of the past : )

Here are some pics of my stamp storage:

Here is a close up of the cubbies that hold my MFT stamps:

Because I have so many Pure Innocence and à la Mode stamps, they get their own boxes : )  All of my other MFT stamps are stored in the DVD box.  You will soon see I am in need of another DVD box!

The Kassett DVD holds all of my WTG stamps, MFT Alphabets, Clearly Sentimental sets and all of the Stamps with Coordinating Die-namics sets.  I need to add another DVD box soon!

This Kassett CD box holds all of my à la Modes, with a few of the Fred Bear and Claire Keay stamps.

And finally, my Pure Innocence CD box.....isn't it beautiful?  LOL!

Well, if you're still with me I hope you enjoyed getting a peek into my stamp organization!  I can't wait to see how all of the other girls are storing their MFT stamps!  Maybe I'll get some more ideas!

You'll find a link to each participating designer on the MFT Blog!

I'll see you in a couple days when the MFTeasers begin! So excited for you to see all the new stamps and Die-namics!

Thanks for stopping by!

You've Got Cute-a-tude! {MFTWSC63}

Hi there!  It's Wednesday and time for this week's Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch Challenge from My Favorite Things!  This week's sketch just might be one of my favorites so far, so I hope you have a chance to play along!

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer.

I used the new Pure Innocence image, Cute-a-tude paired with the following Die-namics:  Botanical Beauty, First Place Award Ribbon (sentiment) and Simply Scallops.  The papers are MME On the Bright Side Two.

The image was colored with Copics and her dress was paper pieced.  I added a small gem to the flower center in her hair.  The Botanical Beauty flower was cut from the same patterned paper and was finished with a twine stitched button.  The sentiment was zig zag stitched to the main panel.  A little more stitching finishes the front.
