Party Time {SSSC183}

Hi there!  It's time again for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch!  I have to admit that I struggled with this week's sketch and went a bit rogue by switching up the scallops, but the sketch is there!  I hope you get a chance to play along!

For my card today, I used a new set from MFT called Cupcake Cutie.  Isn't she so cute?  I can't tell you the last time I colored an image! Some of my most used Copics were actually dried out!  OOPS!  I forgot how relaxing it is to just sit and color.

I colored the image with Copics.  It's kind of hard to tell from the picture, but I stamped some polka dots from Darling Dots in Wild Cherry Ink onto Wild Cherry cardstock.  The houdstooth pattern is from Spring Backgrounds and was stamped in Wild Cherry, too.  The scallops were made with the Die-namics Open Simply Scallops Trio.  I used the Die-namics Flower and Leaf Trio for the flowers and finished them with some enamel dots from My Mind's Eye. The sentiment is from Doodle Garden Party Time and was stamped on two Mini Wavy Pennants Die-namics.

Here is this week's sketch:

MFT Scrap Sketch #7!

Hi there!  It's time for MFT's monthly Scrap Sketch!  We're up to sketch #7 and this one just MIGHT be my favorite so far!  Head on over to the MFT Blog for all the details on this month's sketch and to see how you can win just for participating!  While you're there, don't forget to check out who our Guest Designer is for this month's Scrap Sketch!

I've had these Instagram photos printed for quite awhile and thought they would be perfect for this month's sketch.  The pictures are of both of my girls and their cousins, Colton, Ella, and Dixie.

The patterned paper is from the new Crate Paper DIY Shop.

Here's the sketch:

MFT's Release Rewind

Hi there!  MFT has revamped the Release Rewind post they do monthly after each release. What's new?  Starting this month we will have two days of Release Rewind with brand new projects using new stamps and Die-namics from the April Release!  For all the details and to see all the participating designers, please head on over to the MFT blog.

I have two cards to share with you today, each using this month's Triple Scoop Set, Chocolate Sentiments.  I paired Chocolate Sentiments with Hearts and Stitches, and Western Backgrounds. I have also used the following Die-namics dies: Oval STAX Sets 1 and 2, Fishtail Flags STAX, Rectangle STAX Sets 1 and 2, and Dainty Bows.

You'll find a complete link list of all the products I used on each card at the bottom of this post :)

Here they are together.  I'm really digging using the same supplies for mulitple cards.  I have found that it really cuts down on my (in)decision making!

Here is the first card.  I started with Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #97, but ended up straying from the sketch just a bit.

Here's a picture of the inside.  The stitches are from Hearts and Stitches.

Here is the second card.  This card uses Deconstructed Sketch #94.  I also strayed a LITTLE from the original to accomodate the sentiment.

Here's a picture of the inside:

And here they are together again :)
