MFTeasers Day 2!

Hi there!  It's the second day of teasers from My Favorite Things and today we are introducing Inspired by Birds, Inspired by Butterflies Die-namics (hooray!) and Flopsey Goes Camping.

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer!

Today I have used Flopsey Goes Camping!  I have a soft spot in my heart for Flopsey so I always love when a new set is released!  I paired Flopsey with some papers from the County Fair Kit from Studio Calico. Flopsey was colored with Copics and I drew in the dirt and weeds with Prismacolor Pencils.  The Die-namics Oval Tab was used for the sentiment.  I rounded the top right corners with a Corner Chomper and finished the card with some machine stitching and a button tied with linen thread.

For my card today I used the Well Worn Greetings Die-namics and stamp set.  This is THE perfect set if you're looking for a quick and easy card!  I paired Well Worn Greetings with some MME Miss Caroline "Dolled Up" papers.  The frame around the sentiment was stamped using Rose Coral ColorBox Chalk Ink and the sentiment was stamped in Dark Chocolate. The layer under the main sentiment was embossed using a polka dot embossing folder. I used the Die-namics Hearts a Plenty for the felt heart and finished it with a twine threaded button.  Some machine stitching and lace trim finish the card.

MFT March Teasers ~ Puddle Jumper!

Hi there and welcome to March teasers from My Favorite Things!  I'm so excited to share teasers with you over the next week!  There is so much goodness coming from MFT you won't want to miss a thing!

Today we are introducing Who's That Girl Puddle Jumper.

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer.

I paired Puddle Jumper with some Studio Calico Memoir Papers (6x6).  Her raincoat and boots were paper pieced with one of the patterns in the packand her raincoat was finished with two adhesive gems.  The rest of her was colored with Copics.   I added Glossy Accents to the puddle to make it look wet.  The Die-namics I used are the First Place Award Ribbon (for the flags under the button) and File Tab for the sentiment.  Some machine stitching, rounded corners and a twine tied button finish the card.

Here is a close up of the puddle....

I Simply Adore You {MFTWSC60}

Hi there!  It's Wednesday and it's time for this week's Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch Challenge from My Favorite Things!  I know I sound like a broken record every week, but we have another AWESOME sketch for you to play with!

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer!

I used one of my favorite Pure Innocence images, Being Cute is What I Do, for my card.  She was colored with Copics and her outfit was paper pieced using patterns from the MME Miss Caroline "Howdy Doody" 6x6 pad. I wish I could get away with an outfit like that :)  The Die-namics I used on my card are Botanical Beauty, Open Scallop Doily Duo (the larger one), File Tab and Simply Scallops Medium.  I used Buttercream twine under the flower.  Some machine stitching and adhesive pearls finish the card.

Boy Oh Boy! What a Suprise!!

Hi there and welcome to Julee Tilman's Surprise Baby Shower!!  If you live under a rock and hadn't heard the news, Julee and her hubby Mark are expecting IDENTICAL TWIN BOYS in March!  Such an exciting time!

If you arrived here from Tosh's blog, then you're in the right place!  If you've just happened along, you can head on over to Teresa's blog to start from the beginning!

I thought long and hard about what advice I could offer Julee and Mark and here's what I came up with:

Julee:  Don't try to be Superwoman.  ACCEPT help when it is offered from others!  (see, I thought I was Superwoman and wouldn't accept help from others....please learn from my mistake!)

Mark:  CHANGE DIAPERS.......(my hubby wasn't a diaper changer thanks to my Superwoman attitude :)

LOL!  How's that for advice?

And here is my card for the twins....affectionately known as Jack and Moe.......

I used my fave all time baby set from Verve, To the Moon and paired it with some fun MME Miss Caroline "Dilly Dally" papers.  Jack and Moe (the bears) were colored with Copics and cut out.  I cut along their arms so I could "hang" them over the frame and the plaid flag.  The kite was tied to Jack's arm using twine.  The sentiment is actually just "Oh Boy"  To get the "Boy" on top, I simply masked the sentiment with scotch tape so I could stamp Boy....giving me "Boy Oh Boy."  Fitting for twins, dontcha think?   Some machine stitching a few adhesive gems finish the card!

Oh, and BTW....the sketch is today's Mojo Monday 229!   Isn't it a goodie?

Your next stop on this hop is to Betty's Blog!

Congratulations, Julee and Mark!  I'm so happy for the both of you!!!

If Friends Were Flowers {MFTWSC59}

Hi there!  It's Wednesday and time for this week's Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch Challenge from My Favorite Things!  We have another FAB sketch for you this week!

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer.

I used Fred Bear Oopsie Daisy for my card today and paired him with MME Miss Caroline Dilly Dally papers.  I colored Fred with Copics.  I masked the sentiment so I could put the first line on the front of the card and finish the rest on the inside of the card.  The Die-namics I  used on this card are First Place Award Ribbon and Button Quartet.  The button was finished with some Carribbean Teal Twine.

Here's the finished inside:

MFT Creative Challenge ~ February!

Hi there and welcome to the February Creative Challenge from My Favorite Things!

This month's challenge is to make a baby themed project.  Think shower gifts, nursery decor, new baby cards, etc.

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer participating in this month's challenge!

I made a baby card and a matching tag that could be used on a gift package or gift bag. I pulled out the Pure Innocence Girl and Baby set and First Class Friend Die-namics and Stamp set.  I love how all the sets at MFT can be mixed and matched.  The image was colored with Copics, was fussy cut out and popped up for dimension.  All of the patterned papers are MME Miss Caroline Dilly Dally.
