Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks Day 3 ~ American Heartland Day

Hi there and welcome to day three of the Taylored Expressions sneak peeks!  We'll be introducing Green Acres, 4th of July Wreath, Uncle Sam, and the Chicken Wire/Woodgrain Impression Plate.  But before I get to all the new stuff, here's the June release at a glance:
  • We have sneak peeks to share Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  All of the new products will be available for purchase on Friday, June 3rd at 8 am PST. You'll find it all in the Fresh out of the Oven Department in the Taylored Expressions Store.
  • Join us as a fan on Facebook for an early peek at the stamp sets on Thursday night beginning at approximately 6 pm PST.
  • Special Early Bird Offer on Release Day for the first 15 orders over $100.  It's TOTALLY SWEET!
  • Mystery Baker's Dozen Blog Giveaway: Each day one lucky blog commenter will be chosen by random draw to win a $10 TE Gift Certificate.  Winners will be chosen from a different Baker's Dozen blog each day and all will be announced on Taylor's blog on Release Day!  Be sure to hop around to see all the sneak peeks and leave comments on each and every blog for more chances to win. Limit one comment per blog per day, please.  Comments close Thursday 6/2 at 7pm for the drawings.

My first card uses the adorable set Green AcresGreen Acres was illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink Line.  It's a full sized set on a 5.75" x 8.5" full color sturdy storage panel  and includes 24 images.  It's farm fun with coordinating punny sentiments!!

I used the two cows plus the bale of hay for my card.  Each image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and was colored with Copic markers.  I cut it out and rounded the corners with my Corner Chomper.  Some of the sentiments in Green Acres coordinate with It's a Banner Day~1, so I stamped the solid image from It's a Banner Day 1 in Rose Coral fluid chalk ink and then stamped the sentiment in Dark Chocolate ink over top.  It was then cut out with the coordinating It's a Banner Day 1 die.  I used the Picket Fence die to make then fence and then embossed it the new Woodgrain Impression Plate, although the embossing is hard to see in the picture.  Some baker's twine with a button finish the card.  All the patterned paper is Pink Paislee Hometown Summer.

My second card was made using the new 4th of July Wreath Petite Set.  It is the 5th set in our wreath series all illustrated by Nancy McKinney (original concept by Jami Sibley) and all designed to fit the Seasonal Wreath Taylored Die.  It's a set of 7 images on a 3" x 5.5" full color sturdy storage panel.  It's great for any party decor or patriotic themed cards!

I decided to go round with this card and kept it pretty simple.  The image was colored with Copics and cut out with the Seasonal Wreath Taylored Die.  The navy layer underneath the wreath was embossed with the Stars Impression Plate.  I made a sentiment flag and finished the wreath with a baker's twine bow.  The patterned paper is Pink Paislee Hometown Summer.

Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Baker's Dozen has cooked up with today's sets!

Today We'll be introducing Sweet Bliss, Moka Charlotte, Moka Jack, and You're Engaged A la Carte!  I have two samples to show you today, the first using Moka Charlotte and Moka Jack and the second using Sweet Bliss!

I introduce to you, the new happy Moka couple, Charlotte and Jack!  The Moka Collection is the newest addition to the Taylored Expressions line and are designed and illustrated by the incredible Nancy McKinney.  They are petite sets and each set comes on a 3" x 5.5" full color sturdy storage panel.

I am crazy over the new Moka Collection and Charlotte and Jack couldn't be any cuter!  They are actually two separate sets that I married together (get it?) on this card!  Charlotte was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and then masked so I could stamp Jack close to her.  They were colored with Copics and although you can't tell from the picture, I gave Charlotte's dress and veil a healthy dose of Clear Copic Spica Glitter pen. She's sparkly in person!  The sentiment was cut out with one of the label dies from the Shopping Bag and Label Die collection released last month.  The papers are a combo of Crate Paper Portrait Collection and LilyBee Designs This & That dp.  Some satin ribbon and a scalloped border made with the Medium Scallop Border die finish the card.

My next card uses the newest Cuppie set, Sweet BlissSweet Bliss is illustrated by Jessie Olson and comes on a 5.75" x 8.5" full color sturdy storage panel.  It's a darling whimsical wedding set that I'm sure you'll love!

I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut it out with Circle Nestabilities.  The patterned heart was cut out with Classic Heart Nestabilities.  The papers are the new MME Lime Twist Life of the Party papers.  The large scallops were made with the Large Scallop Edge Die.  Some machine stitching, button and Baker's Twine finish the card!

Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Baker's Dozen has cooked up with today's sets!

Today we are introducing A Day in Paradise, Moka Lani, Beach Belle, Surf's Up, a new Palm Tree die and a new Wave border die.  I have two samples to show you using Beach Belle and A Day in Paradise!  Let's get started, shall we?

My first card uses the new Petite stamp set, Beach Belle!  The adorable penguins are back for this release all dressed and ready for some sun and surf!  Beach Bell is a set of 6 stamps on a 3" x 5.5" full color sturdy storage panel.  Beach Belle was illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink line.

I paired Beach Belle with some fun Hello Luscious papers from Basic Grey.  Some of the patterns from this line remind me of Hawaiian prints and thought they'd be perfect with Belle.  Belle was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, was colored with Copics and was popped up for dimension.  The the border at the bottom?  That's the awesome new Wave Border die.  I used it upside down and love the look!  I finished the card with some rounded corners using my beloved Corner Chomper, some machine stitching and a button tied with some baker's twine!

My second card uses the sophisticated Cape Cod beach themed set, A Day in Paradise.  This set was illustrated by Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes line.  A Day in Paradise a set of 21 stamps that come on a full color sturdy storage panel.

I started off with this week's Mojo Monday sketch, Mojo193, although I did change up the sentiment panel to suit my card.  I used some of my fave new papers, the Fly a Kite line from MME Lime Twist.  The beach chairs were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and were colored with Copics.  I paper pieced the umbrella with a pattern from the same line.  They were cut out with Rectangle Nestabilities.  Some machine stitching, brads and twine finish the card.  Clean and simple.....

Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Baker's Dozen has cooked up with today's sets!

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks Day 3!

Hi there and welcome to day three of sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions!  We have so much on the menu today starting with a great new set called In the Bag with coordinating Shopping Bag and Labels Die set, Summer Wreath Petite set and a brand new line called the Moka Girls!

I have two samples to show you today so I'll get right to it!

My first card uses a fabulous new set called It's In the Bag with the coordinating Shopping Bag and Labels Die set.  It's In the Bag was concepted and illustrated by Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes line.  It is a set of 27 deeply etched red rubber stamps mounted on EZ Mount.  All the stamps come precut on a full color sturdy storage panel.

I die cut the bag using the Shopping Bag die using some LilyBee Designs This & That papers.  The handles were stamped, cut out and attached to the bag.  I stamped a flower from It's In the Bag in Lipstick Red Fluid Chalk Ink and added an adhesive rhinestone to the center.  The flower was punched with a circle punch and was layered on a label cut with one of the Labels Dies.  Some adhesive rhinestones and tissue finish the bag.  Some rounded corners with the Corner Chomper and machine stitching finish the card.  Isn't the finished bag so cute on the card?

My second card uses Olivia from the brand new Moka Petite Collection.  The Moka Petite Collection was concepted and illustrated by the great Nancy McKinney.  Moka Olivia is a set of four stamps made of deeply etched red rubber, already trimmed and mounted on a sturdy storage panel.

I am so excited for this new line....it's right up my cuteness alley!  And don't fret.....we are told there are more to come!  L.O.V.E.

I colored Olivia with Copics, paper piecing her blouse.  I rounded the corners and mounted her on another new stamp peeked yesterday called the Heart Frame a la Carte.  The frame was stamped in Warm Red Fluid Chalk ink and was cut out with it's coordinating Frame It Up 2 die.  The corners were rounded with my Corner Chomper.  The scallops were made with the Medium Scallop Border Die.  Some adhesive gems finish the card.  The papers are a mix of LilyBee Designs This & That and Happily Lost.

Now it's time to hop around to see what the rest of the Baker's Dozen did with today's sets!

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek Day 2!

Hi there!  It's Taylored Expressions sneak peeks day two and on the menu today are two new sets, Bringing Home Baby, illustrated by Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes Line and Baby Cakes, the newest Cuppie set!

Bringing Home Baby is a set of 23 red rubber stamps mounted onto EZ Mount foam.  This set is a perfect baby set perfect for so many types of cards, from the clean and simple to the very elaborate!

I started my card using Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch, SSS115, although I strayed a bit by not adding a couple of the elements from the sketch.  The papers are Jillibean Soup Spotted Owl Soup, so appropriate for a boy card!  Don't you love the buggy?  It was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored with Copics and was cut out.  It was popped up on foam squares on top of a Wonky Rectangle that was sponged with Yellow Ochre Fluid Chalk Ink before removing from the die.  Some rounded corners with my trusty and much loved Corner Chomper, machine stitching and a button and twine finish the card!

Now it's time to hop around to see what the rest of the Baker's Dozen did with today's sets!

Welcome Little One is a set designed by Taylor Van Bruggen  for the TE Line of stamps.  This full -sized set includes 26 images in high quality deeply-etched rubber on EZ-Mount.  This set is perfect for birth announcements, baby shower invitations, and both pregnancy and birth congratulations.  It pairs beautifully with the new Invitation and Heart Frame ala Carte stamps.  It also couldn't have come at a better time as we are all so excited at the announcement that Taylor and her husband, Jon, are expecting their first baby!  It's an exciting time at Taylored Expressions!!

I combined Welcome Little One with the newly released You're My Type Upper and the new Spellbinders Nested Pennant dies to make a baby banner.  The papers are Crate Paper Neighborhood.  The adorable baby buggy and frame are from Welcome Little One.  I stamped the frame in Rose Coral Fluid Chalk Ink and cut it out with the new Bracket Frame Die.  The buggy was paper pieced and colored with Copics.  It was cut out and popped up for dimension.  The welcome oval is just a part of one of the sentiments in the set.  I masked off the other words so I could just use "welcome".  A couple of rounded corners and some twine finish the card.

We are excited to bring you a one-time mid-month release of 3 new stamp sets - Labels of Love, You're My Type - Upper and You're My Type - Lower. As if that weren't exciting enough, these new sets are designed to coordinate with Spellbinders dies! Everything we are showing you is available TODAY!!!

We also want to take this opportunity to express a huge thank you to Spellbinders who generously provided our team members with Grand Calibur die cutting machines.  Isn't that awesome?  I love using my Grand Calibur and can't wait to show you what I've made today using all of these new goodies!

My first card uses the new Labels of LoveLabels of Love was designed by Taylor for the *TE* Collection and coordinates with the new Ribbon Tag Trio Three by Spellbinders.  Labels of Love is a set of 31 images (7 frames, 6 flourishes, 18 sentiments) and work for just about any occasion.  Today I paired Labels of Love with a flower image from Hello Spring.  The sketch is this week's Mojo Monday sketch, Mojo187.  The papers are MME Stella and Rose Hattie.  I also used the Medium Scallop Border die on the bottom of the card.

Here are my dies getting ready to be cut using the Grand Calibur.  I LOVE that you can use several dies in one pass, such a time saver!

And here they are after cutting and then embossing.  So easy thanks to the Grand Calibur!

My second card uses the new You're My Type ~ Lower.  This is a fabulous little set made from deeply etched red rubber, trimmed and mounted on EZ Mount.  You're My Type ~ Lower has the letters A~Z (lower case) and the numbers 1~0.  They coordinate beautifully with the new Spellbinders Nested Pennant dies but could also be used alone on a card or scrapbook page.

For my card, I paired You're My Type ~ Lower with the new set, Dream Big, to create a fun graduation card.  The papers are a mix of October Afternoon Schoolhouse and Fly a Kite.  The numbers were punched out with a small circle punch and popped up on a foam dimensional.  Some machine stitching and Baker's Twine finish the card!
