Birthday Girl {SSSC181}

Hi there!  It's time for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch!  Karen gave us a fun sketch to play with this week!  I hope you get a chance to play along!

Yesterday {Saturday} was my oldest's 14th birthday.  We had a slumber party for her and 12 of her friends on Friday night.  I. am. BEAT.  I'm not used to staying up until 4 AM :)

Anyhow, this is the birthday card I made for her.  I love the new Birthday Sentiments set from MFT and knew I had to use it for her card.  I also used Darling Dots with Kraft ink for the background. It's a little hard to tell from the picture, but I stamped the "Birthday" banner a second time, cut it out, and popped it up for some dimension.

Here is the finished inside.

MFT Creative Challenge - March

Hi there!  It's time for the March Creative Challenge from My Favorite Things.  This month the design team was challenged to create using their favorite color combination using MFT's cardstock and ink.  This was a FUN challenge!  So fun, I made a set of three cards!

Head on over to the MFT blog for a link to each participating designer.

Let me preface by saying that I'm not much of a purple person, and while I don't use it much, I LOVE MFT's Grape Jelly.  I especially love Grape Jelly mixed with Black Licorice and Sweet Tooth, with a little Gumdrop Green thrown in for good measure :)

I used my new favorite set, Pretty Poppies along with Distressed Diamonds.  The Die-namics I used are Poppies and Leaves and the awesome Blueprints 1.  These cards were so quick to make thanks to the Blueprints Die-namics.  I love having so many die choices in just one set.

I inks I used are Grape Jelly, Gumdrop Green, and Black Licorice.  The cardstocks used are Smooth White, Sweet Tooth, Black Licorice, and Grape Jelly.

Here are all three cards together.

This was the first card I made.  LOVE the pop of Grape Jelly against the Black Licorice.

Here's the inside.

Here's the second card.

And the inside of the second card.

Last but not least, is the third card I made.

And the inside of card #3.

And together once again.

You Always Bloom {MFTWSC116}

Hi there!  It's Wednesday and time for the Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch Challenge from My Favorite Things!  This week's sketch is awesome, so I hope you get a chance to play along!

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each participating designer.

I had all of the supplies I had used to make this card out on my desk, so I just went with it and made a card using the exact same supplies and colors.  I LOVE this color combo.  I used the new Pretty Poppies (L.O.V.E), Western Backgrounds, and Spring Backgrounds.  The Die-namics I used were Poppies and Leaves and Circle STAX set 1.  You'll find a complete list of supplies at the end of this post.
