Happy 50th! {SSSC225}

Hi there everyone! Long time no post! Summer has started and with two girls at home I am busy! I'm sure most of you can relate. My stamping time is greatly reduced, but I wouldn't have it any other way. My girls are growing fast! I want to enjoy every teenage tantrum experience ;)

Anywho....it's time for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch. We had a 50th birthday to attend this weekend so I used this sketch as my jumping off point for my card. The colors I used are Jellybean Green, Black Licorice, Primitive White, and Natural. I also pulled out some eyelets! They haven't seen the light of day in quite awhile! The stamps and Die-namics I used are Pinstripe Background, Wood Plank Background, Big Numbers Die-namics, File Tab, Lead the Way, Blueprints 1, and Blueprints 4. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Pure Innocence Birthday Princess.

Here is my masculine card:

Baby Girl {SSSC224}

Hi there! I'm back this weekend with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this sketch and I think you will too. I hope this sketch inspires you to get inky!

I made a baby card using today's sketch. I used Oh Baby Die-namics, Beautiful Baby, Striped Background, Typewriter Text Background, Pierced Fishtail Flags STAX, Square STAX Set 1, and Blueprints 12. The colors I used are Pink Lemonade, Bubblegum (Hybrid Ink), Grout Gray, Banana Split, and Sweet Tooth.

Here's my card:

I die-cut the word baby five times from Sweet Tooth Card Stock and glued them all together for dimension.

A FRIEND-ly Challenge

Hi there everyone! Every once in awhile two of my good stamping friends, Lisa and Becky, and I like to issue a stamping challenge to each other just for fun! Becky issued today's challenge to add a diagonal element to a card. EASY PEASY!! I love stamping for no other reason than the love of stamping. Make sure you check out what Lisa and Becky did to meet this challenge.

I made a baby card because there is a baby boom happening around me so I thought I'd get a head start on the inevitable baby card making ;)

My card uses the following goodies from My Favorite Things: Gingham Background; Sea Life (Hello); Beautiful Baby (inside sentiment); Vertical Stitched Strips; Blueprints 13; and Oh Baby Die-namics. The colors I used are Sweet Tooth, Spearmint, Pink Lemonade, and Berrylicious.

Here is my card. It's a little hard to tell in the picture, but I die-cut the word Baby four times and glued them all together for dimension.
