Have a Wildly Wicked Halloween {MTSC93}

Hi there!!  It's Tuesday and it's time for another one of Mercy's sketches and this week's is a goodie!  Sorry for the lack of posts lately, but I've been really busy in my real life!  I have been stamping, but it's nothing I can show you just yet!  I have two big releases that start next week from Taylored Expressions and Verve!  So stay tuned because you won't want to miss a thing!

I wanted to make another Halloween card (my girls like to give them to their friends) so I took out the new Taylored Expressions set, Hangin' Out ~ Wicked Wardrobe.  I just love this witch dress!  I used some of the Echo Park Halloween paper, some of it from the Fright Night Project Pantry and some from my LSS.  I paper pieced the dress and colored the witch hat with Copics and cut out.  The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut out with Double Ended Tag die and was sponged with some Pumpkin Pie ink while still in the die.  I did the same technique with the long rectangle behind the dress.  The ribbon is also from the Fright Night Project Pantry and the black brads are from my stash.  A little black stitching finishes it off!

Don't forget to check out what the other girls have done with this fab sketch!

Happy Birthday! {SC299}

Hi there!  I had a little stamping time last night and decided to try out yesterday's sketch from Splitcoaststampers.  It has been far too long since I've done a challenge on Splitcoast and I thought the sketch looked pretty interesting so I went for it!

I used the newest set in the Taylored Expressions Giving Tree Program, Make A Wish.  This stamp set is active in the TE Giving Tree program from September through November 2010 where TE donates $7.00 for each Make a Wish stamp set sold to a national children's charity.  I love that it's a charitable set, but it's also a FABULOUS birthday set!

The patterned paper is Cosmo Cricket Togetherness.  LOVE this collection of papers!  I die cut three balloons using the new Make a Wish Balloon dies that coordinate with Make A Wish using three different patterns.  The sentiment was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut out with a Labels Trio die.  While it was still in the die I sponged some Riding Hood Red Ink around the edges.  The banner was also stamped in Riding Hood Red and cut out with scissors.  I added some Lippy Red adhesive gems to give the banner some interest.  The button and embroidery floss are from my stash.

That's all from me today! I'm gearing up for a HUGE Taylored Expressions release on October 7th!  The peeks start on the October 4th and you won't want to miss a thing!

Thanks for stopping by!

You're Such a Smartie {MTSC92}

Hi there!  It's Tuesday and it's time for another one of Mercy's sketches!  This week's sketch is another goodie!  I've been in a stamping funk for the last week and this card sort of pulled me out of the funk!  I haven't felt like stamping AT ALL!  We've been busy around here and stamping has been put on the back burner, but I feel revived and ready to stamp!  LOL!

I used a new to me MFT set called Emma and Her Backpack.  Isn't she the cutest?  I paired her with some Cosmo Cricket Togetherness dp.  Love this stuff, too!  Anywho....I won't bore you with the details.  All of the products used are in the recipe at the bottom of this post.

Don't forget to check out what the other girls did with this sketch:

Miss Ewe!

Hi there!  I just wanted to pop in and show you one more card I made for the TCP release!  This set is called Sheepish and it is OH SO CUTE!  I added some sparkle to the sheep with some Martha Stewart Crystal Coarse Glitter.  Oh, and I used purple.  I'm not a big fan of purple, but that is changing!  I even bought a super cute purple hoodie for myself just today!  But I digress.....Just wanted to add that the card base is Perfect Plum from SU....it looks a lot darker in this picture than it is IRL.  Purple is hard to photograph!  Anywho....hope you like it!  It was such pleasure to play along with the TCP DT this month!

Hope you all have a great day!  I will be out in the morning to watch my 9 year old daughter give a speech to her school as she is running for class Historian!  She is nervous, which makes me nervous....but I know she'll do great!

Thanks for stopping by,

TCP Release Blog Hop! {MTSC91} {TCPTues126}

Hi there!!!  Welcome to The Cat's Pajamas Release Blog Hop!  I am SO honored to play along with the fabulous TCP DT!  Amy kicked off the hop so if you've arrived here from her blog then you're in the right place!  The hop ends with TCP owner, Alma's blog, so be sure to let her know how much you love the TCP stamps when you get to her blog!

For my card I used the just released and totally adorable Hello Pumpkin!  Those penguins are too cute!   I combined it with today's amazing sketch from Mercy, MTSC91 and this week's TCP Tuesday challenge to use plaid, TCPTues126!   The patterned paper is Echo Park Halloween, and my plaid is the orange pattern!!    It's hard to tell from the picture, but I cut out each penguin and popped each up for some dimension.  And you might notice, as I just did typing this, that I forgot to color two of the penguins feet!  Shessh....It's handmade, right?  LOL!

Before I go I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to Alma and the TCP design team for letting me play along for this release!  It was a blast.....

Your next stop on this hop is to the FABULOUS, Jen del Muro!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

TCP Peek ~ Witch Way To The Candy?

Hi there!  It's the final day of Sneaky Peek week over at the Cat's Pajamas and I finally get to show you my most favorite image from this whole release!(mind you, I love them all equally, but this particular image just melts my heart!)  It's this darling Witch from the new set, Witchy!   Isn't she Ca-Yute?

I paired her with some patterned paper from Papertrey called Halloween Prints.  And if you read my blog regularly and think this sketch looks like the same one I used yesterday, then you're right!  The sketch is Jen del Muro's SFYTT from LAST week.  I actually made this card first and then loved the sketch so much used it a second time yesterday!  The buttons were cut with the Cut Ups Button die (LOVE this die) and was threaded with some Orange Divine Twine.  The main image and main image circle are popped up with foam tape.

I even used this set for a Cat's Pajamas ATC swap that I am a part of!!  Made eight of these babies!  I hadn't made an ATC in a few years, so this was really fun!

For a list of who has peek's today, click here to get to Alma's blog!

The Pajama Party is tonight from 9:00 ~ 11:00 EST in the Cat's Pajamas Forum.  There will be prizes and surprises! You won't want to miss all the fun!  All 12 of the stamp sets peeked this week along with FOUR new Cut Ups dies will be available following the party!  I hope to see you there!

Boo!

Hi there!!  I hope you're all having a great weekend!  We are having the MOST beautiful weather here today...mid 70's with a slight breeze!  Ahhhhh....

I got away for a little crafting time this afternoon and this card is the result!  I have been itching to make one of these medallions I've seen around in the blog world so today I gave it a shot!  Cute, huh?

I used the new just released set from Taylored Expressions called Hangin' Out ~ Wicked Wardrobe.  I love this little ghost!  The sketch last week's Sketch For You To Try from. I stamped the ghost in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Choice Snow White and cut him out.  All of the cardstock and some of the Echo Park Halloween DP is from the Fright Night Project Pantry Kit.  The Polka Dot and Purple Stripe patterns are also from Echo Park Halloween collection, but I purchased those two at my LSS.  This line of DP is just fantastic, IMO!   I cut the circles under the ghost with Circle Nestabilities.  The ghost is up on foam tape!

Thanks for stopping by!

TCP Sneak......Deep Breath!

Hi there and Happy Weekend!!  I'm back with another Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek...a new set called Deep Breath!  If you love this adorable Bunny image, then you won't be disappointed with this release because he makes a few appearances with this new release!

I fully intended to have my card up much earlier, but my camera is on the fritz and my daughter's camera battery was dead so I had to let it charge before I could take a pic!

I can't seem to stop using this new Cosmo Cricket Togetherness DP!  The flowers kind of reminded me of snowflakes, so I went with it!  Bunny was colored with Copics, cut out and popped up with foam tape.  Some Martha Stewart Crystal Coarse Glitter gives some sparkle to his hat.  The sentiment isn't separate like it is on my card, I simply masked it off so I could stamp the words separate from one another and create these little "sentiment flags" that I seem to love so much lately!  A few coordinating "buttons" made with the awesome Cut Ups Dies from TCP, some machine stitching and it was done!

Detail shot......

You can check out Alma's blog for a list of who has peeks today!!  That's what I'm off to do right now!

I hope you have a great weekend!!  Thanks for stopping by!

Mwahh!!! TCP Peek {TCP124}

Hi there!  I'm back today with another Cat's Pajamas peek!  This darling Halloween set is called MWAHH!!    I laughed out loud when I saw the sentiment MWAHH with the Vampire!  The sketch is TCPTuesday124.  The dp is from Papertrey Ink and is called Halloween Prints.  You'll be seeing alot more of this dp in the near future (wink wink)!  Dracula was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored with Copics and cut out.  He is popped up on foam tape for some dimension.  I tied the black buttons with some Divine Twine.  Some black stitching and black twill ribbon finish it off!

The TCP Pajama Party is on Monday, September 13th from 9:00 ~ 11:00 PM EST in The Cat's Pajamas Forum on Splitcoaststampers!

I hope you all have a fantastic Friday!  I'll be back tomorrow with another TCP Peek!

TCP Sneak Peek {MTSC90}

Hi there!!!  It's Tuesday and time for another one of Mercy's sketches!!  And if you read the title, then you know I'm here with a Cat's Pajamas sneak peek!  Alma de la Rosa (owner of TCP) emailed me recently and asked if I wanted to participate in this month's sneak peeks along with her amazing design team!  I immediately said yes!  Really how could you say no to such CUTENESS?  LOL!

The Cat's Pajamas will be releasing 12 (yes, TWELVE) new sets on Tuesday, September 14th and I can't tell you enough how cute they are!  The set I'm peeking for you today is called Skating Bunny.  I love the ears on this sweet little guy!  I paired him with TCP's Cut-Ups Buttons dies, some Cherry Divine Twine and Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather DP.  I also rounded the corners with the Corner Chomper.  Some twill ribbon and machine stitching finish it off.

Verve Project Parade!

Hi there!!  I just wanted to let you know that today is my day to post for the Verve Project Parade over on the Verve Blog!  This month's theme is Something Old...Something New....Wedding ideas immediately come to mind, but you don't have to take that direction. This is a challenge, for anyone who would like to play along, to use a previously released Verve stamp set with one of the new sets that was just released this August 20th. (If you don't have the newest Verve sets - no worries, just mix an older set from your stash with a "new to you" stamp set and join the fun!)

This is the card I made!  Check out all the details on the Verve Blog!

Oh Nuts....It's Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks Day 2!

Hi there!!  Welcome back to day two of the Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks!

On the menu for today are the new Belated Birthday A la Carte stamps!  These stamps and sentiments were concepted by our own Jami Sibley and illustrated for the Apple Doodle Ink line!  There are seven different A la Carte stamps with coordinating sentiments.  The stamp I'm using today is called  Belated Birthday - Oh Nuts!  I can't wait for you to see it, so let's get started!

I told you it was so cute!!!  LOL!  I started with Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try for this week and pulled out some new Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather DP (not just for winter or Christmas!).  I stamped the adorable squirrel in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored him with Copic Markers.  I popped him up on foam tape on a Circle Nestability.  The smaller patterned circles were punched with a 1 3/4" circle punch and layered on a Circle Nestability.  The "Oh Nuts" sentiment was cut out witha Spellbinders Label Trio and while still in the die was sponged with red ink.  A button from my stash and some Farmer's Market Twine finish it off.  The second part of the sentiment is one long stamp.  I merely cut out each word separately and then popped it up on foam tape around the main image circle.  Some machine stitching and I called it done!

Now it's time to see what the Baker's Dozen has cooked up with today's stamps!
