Handle With Care {TCPTues143}

Hi there!  Happy weekend!  I'm here today with this week's TCP Tuesday challenge.....just a wee bit late!  Susan is our Hostess with the Mostess and the challenge is:  I {Heart} Love--use a TCP sentiment stamp that contains the word "Love" or "Heart".

I couldn't wait to get the new Love Letters set inky again!  I paired Love Letters with another new TCP set, Bear Hugs.  I can't get enough of this bear!  He is super easy to color and cut out!  I used the new Stamp Trio die to cut out the stamps and used four of the many stamps in the awesome set to fill in the postage!  The bear was colored with Copics, cut out and popped up for dimension. The felt heart was made with the new Hearts Trio Die (L-O-V-E) and do you see the twine?  That's new to the TCP store and is called Air Mail Divine Twine!  L-O-V-E it!!  A sentiment, from Bear Hugs, and a button finish the card!!

You can find all of the details for this week's challenge here~

Thanks for stopping by my TCP L-O-V-E fest!!  I hope you have a great weekend!

Happy Happy Birthday BOND!!!!

Hi there!  A bunch of Wendy Bond's friends have gotten together for a birthday blog hop!  If you've arrived here from Lisa's blog then you're in the right spot.  If you've just happened along, then head on over to Karen's blog to start from the beginning!

Wendy, or BOND as I like to call her, is one of the funniest people I know!  She has a WICKED sense of humor and her dirty emails always have me in stitches!!  There was NO WAY I was going to miss today's blog hop!

I used my neglected Birthday Flopsey from MFT and paired him with Tickled Pink dp from My Mind's Eye.  The cake was paper pieced with one of the patterns from the same dp.  I used the "out of the box" technique to cut out Flopsey.   Each layer has a rounded corner done with the Corner Chomper and was finished with some machine stitching.  Some Divine Twine and a button finish the card.

I even finished the inside!!

Bond.....I hope you have a FANTASTIC DAY!!!  Happy Happy Birthday, my friend!!!  MWAH!!!!

Your next stop on this birthday hop is to sweet Joanne Basile's Blog

Thank you for stopping by!

Time To Get Together.....{MFTWSC3}

Hi there!  It's Wednesday and time for another Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge from My Favorite Things!  This week's sketch is awesome!  It's perfect for all those patterned paper collections!  And you all know how I {heart} patterned paper!!

I used Basic Grey Marjolaine dp that I picked up for 1/2 price at my LSS!  SCORE!  I also used a new (to me) ala mode, Take Time.  I just love these adorable ala mode girls!  Did you see the new ala modes released last night?  I'm happy to say they'll be coming to live with me in a few days!  But I digress....

The image was colored with Copics and the clock was cut out and popped up for dimension. The felt flower was cut with the Die-namics Flower Trio and was adhered to the card with a small brad.  The scallops down the side were made with the Die-namics Little Open Scallop Strip die.  Some machine stitching finishes it off!

Have fun with this week's sketch!  When uploading your card to SCS, please use keyword MFTWSC3.  Stop by Kim's blog for a complete list of challenge participants.

TCP Tuesday New Release Blog Hop....

Hi there and welcome to the The Cat's Pajamas new release blog hop!  If you've arrived here Leigh's blog, then you're in the right place.  If you've just happened along then head to Sony's blog to start from the beginning!

Tonight is the night when all of the fantastic sets you've seen peeked this week from me and my fellow Cat Pack girls are now available!  There are EIGHT brand new (and ADORABLE) sets plus two new awesome dies!

Not only are we celebrating the release with a hop, but it's also TCP Tuesday and that means a new challenge!  Sony is our Hipster Hostess with the Mostess and she has given us a color challenge:

And here is my card!  Fun, fun colors!!  I used the new set, It Had To Be Mew!  Isn't Sprinkle so swanky in that top hat?

So here are the details:  Sprinkle was stamped in Black Color Box Pigment Ink.  I love this ink when stamping solid images that need to be black, but it takes some time to dry and you need to be careful when coloring with Copics, because it can bleed.  The dp is Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934.  Her hat was paper pieced with one of the patterns in the pad.  I added some adhesive gems to her collar.  She was cut out and popped up for dimension.  Those awesome felt hearts were made with the new Heart Trio Cutups Die and felt from the Seeing Red Collection.  Some machine stitching and a Black Licorice Divine Twine threaded button finish it off!

Your next stop on this release hop is Susan!

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps:  It Had To Be Mew (TCP)

TCP Sneaky Peek ~ Bear Hugs

Hi there!  It's day 6 of sneaky peek week over at The Cat's Pajamas and today I have a card to show you using the new adorable set, Bear Hugs!  I LOVE this set!  So let's get to it!

 Isn't he cute?  I paired him with Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try for January, which is sponsored by The Cat's Pajamas.  This is a wonderful sketch!  I stamped the bear in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored him with Copics and paper pieced the heart.  He was popped up on foam tape and popped up for dimension. I used some of my favorite Aqua Divine Twine threaded through two buttons from my stash.  I ended up criss crossing the twine for a different look that I think looks pretty darn cool!  The paper is Sassafrass Lass Indie Girl.  Some machine stitching finishes it off!

A few of the other girls have some darling samples using Bear Hugs:

I hope you're able to join us for the release party tomorrow night at 7:00 pm EST in the TCP Forum on Splitcoaststampers!

Thank You Flopsey {MFTWSC2}

Hi there!  It's Wednesday so that means it's time for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club! In case you didn't already know, MFT has made a change to their Wednesday Stamp Club for 2011 by making every challenge a SKETCH CHALLENGE!  And it seems you all love the change because we had over 100 entries last week and each card was fabulous!!

Well, we're at it again today with another AWESOME sketch!  I WILL be using this one again in the near future!  Won't you come play?  You can find all the details in the MFT forum.

I broke out my neglected Flopsey's Flowers set and got to work.  Flopsey was colored with Copics, was cut out and then popped up on foam tape.  The sentiment is from Apple For You.  The patterned papers are a mix of October Afternoon Seaside, Schoolhouse and Modern Homemaker.  I LOVE that you can  mix and match their papers and know that the colors match!!  Some twill ribbon and brads from my stash finish it off!

To see a complete list of designers participating in today's challenge and all of their amazing samples, just head on over to Kim's blog!

TCP Sneaky Peek Day One ~ Ewe Complete Me

Hi there!  It's Sneaky Peek week at the Cat's Pajamas AND today is my first official sneak peek!  TCP will be releasing eight brand new stamp sets and two fabulous Cut Ups dies on January 18th!  Peeks will be happening all week, ending with the release party on Monday January 17th at 7pm EST in the Cat's Pajamas forum on Splitcoaststampers!  Be sure to check the TCP forum for a daily sneak peek list of participating Cat Pack members.

Today we're peeking a darling new set called Ewe Complete Me.  I combined my sneak peek with today's TCP Tuesday challenge, TCPTues141.  Jen is our hostess with the mostess and she challenged us to use ribbon in a non-traditional way.....no bows!  Well, as of late I seem to have replaced my ribbon with Divine Twine so why mess with a good thing?  After stamping my main image and adding lots o' glitter, I pierced around the image and stitched using some Divine Twine, creating a sort of frame.  I LOVE the way it looks and it adds so much texture to the card!

Do you see the heart die in the upper right corner?  That is the new Heart Trio Cut Ups die that I am CRAZY about!  It cuts three different hearts that nest together all at one time!  I used it twice on two different colors of felt from my stash and chose the small and middle size, one of each color, and nestled them together.  You will be seeing a lot more of this die on my blog!

That's all from me today!  I hope you have a great day!

Paper: True Black, White (PTI), Echo Park Be Mine
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Snips and Snails {VLVJan2011}

Last night Verve celebrated it's newest release with a wonderfully fun party over on SCS.  I think I'm suffering from a Verve hangover this morning!  The parties are so fun with lots of peeks from the Diva's.  This card is one I shared last night using To the Moon.  I paired this set with Charmaine's sketch from the newest Viva La Verve Sketch challenge.  This sketch is awesome and is going into my favorite sketch archive to be used again in the future!

I stamped three of the adorable animals from To the Moon, colored, cut them out and then layered them with foam tape over the new Classy Label Die.  A button with some baker's twine and machine stitching finish the outside.

Yes, I even finished the inside!  I need to do that more often!

All of the newest stamps and dies are available for purchase over in the Verve store.  There is even a wonderful January Stamp Collection bundle available at a fantastic price!!  Happy Shopping!
