Thankful For You {MFTWSC99}

Hi there!  It's time to get sketchy with MFT!  We are at sketch #99!  Can you believe it?  Next week is sketch #100!  Time sure does fly when you're having fun!

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer.

I LOVE this week's sketch with its tilted panels!  I went pretty shabby with my card and used one of my favorite new sets Thankful Leaves along with the coordinating Fall Leaves Die-namics.  I will be giving this card to my Auntie Pat who hosts Thanksgiving dinner every year.  She puts on quite the spread, too....turkey, ham, lasagna, sausage, mashed potatoes, gravy, tons of appetizers, homemade pies, cookies, cakes........I could go on and on!  I'm salivating already!  But I digress.....

The leaves were stamped in Kraft ink (SU) and the veins were stamped in London Fog (Memento).  The Kraft button was tied with Hemp Cord.  Tons of distressing and some machine stitching finish the card.  Patterned papers are Vintage Finds by Teresa Collins.

A look at the finished inside:

This week's sketch:

To all of my American friends celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow....I hope you have a wonderful day with family and friends, and I hope the turkey is good, too!!

Have I told you lately how much I LOVE Instagram photos?  LOVE the square shape.  So fun.  I printed these photos of my oldest this weekend specifically to use on this layout.  The beautiful papers are Teresa Collins Then and Now.  The base of the layout is Kraft 12x12.

In the photo below I replaced the rectangular shape with the five oval tabs.  The oval tabs are part of the Accent It Flags and Tags Die-namics. Each tab was stamped with a word from First Place Award Ribbon stamp set.  The Plentiful Petals flower was cut from Kraft cardstock and was finished with Whip Cream button tied with Hemp Cord.  The Simply Scallops Large was used for the scallops.  (Please ignore the blue on my daughter's eye....it appeared when I took the pic)

I used the High-Rise Uppercase and the High-Rise Lowercase Die-namics for the name.  The flag to the right was made with Accent It Flags and Tags Die-namics.

The sentiment is from Inspired By Flowers Set 4.  It was stamped in Not Quite Navy ink on a Fishtail Flags STAX.  Oh, and another Plentiful Petals flower :)

Here are the Die-namics I used:

I hope you get the chance to play along with this new monthly feature from MFT!!

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer.

I have a scrapbook page to share with you tonight.  I LOVE taking pictures with my iPhone and using Instagram and Instagram's fun filters, plus I LOVE the square shape of the pictures that Instagram provides.  I am in the midst of taking an online course on how to best use your camera phone and printing photos with Instagram, so I'm sure most of the pictures you'll see on my layouts will from here on out be most Instagrammed photos!

The pictures are of my youngest, Sarah.  I used the Inkwell filter on Instagram and printed them on my 4x6 photo printer.  Photos are 3.5" squares.

I used the new Laina Lamb Design Document It - Days and Dates and Journal It - Calendar Basics for my layout today.  I've also used the following Die-namics:  Accent It Story Starters, Accent It Calendar Components, Accent It Flags and Tags, Decorative Doily, Decorative Doily Duo, Plentiful Petals, High Rise Uppercase, Lowercase and High Rise Numbers.  Phew...that's a lot of Die-namics!

Here's a close up of the High-Rise Uppercase, Lowercase and Numbers, along with a long oval from Accent It Flags and Tags.  The word Fall is from Document It - Days and Dates.  The glitter cardstock was purchased at Joann's and the Decorative Doily was cut from Vellum.  Oh, and I can't forget the beautiful Plentiful Petals Flower!

Here's a close up of the calendar that was made with Journal It - Calendar Basics and the Insert It 3x4 Die-namics.

And here is a close up of the FUN FUN FUN Accent It Story Starters by Laina Lamb.  I stapled them to the layout using the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher I got for Christmas last year from my stamping idol, Michele :)

And one more close up of most of the decorative elements and my beautiful daughter :)

Every Christmas I make tags.  I love tags.  I give them to my Mom to put on gifts, I sell them, and I even have a Pinterest Board dedicated to tags.  I love to make tags.  Tags RULE :)

So when the MFT package came with all of the new goodies for this release the very first thing I made was this set of tags.  I L.O.V.E. the new Decorative Circle Tags STAX and I L.O.V.E. the GORGEOUS new Poinsettia Die-namics, so it was only fitting that I pair these two products with my other L.O.V.E.......TAGS.

Here they are in all their tag glory:

I cut the Decorative Circle Tags STAX using Kraft cardstock.  The patterned paper is Teresa Collins Christmas Cottage.  The white floral paper was cut out with Circle STAX.  The patterned paper is a thicker paper so it held the shape of the Poinsettia perfectly.  I added a metal eyelet to the top of each tag and finished it with some Paver Red Grosgrain Ribbon tied with some Hemp Cord.    The sentiments are from Seasonal Sentiments are were stamped on a Fishtail Flags STAX and then layered on a Fishtail Flags Layers STAX.  Each poinsettia was finished with a Sweet Tooth Button and Hemp Cord.

You can see all the dimension from this angle.  Flat is boring, but dimension is fun and adds much more interest!
