I went mixed media today in honor of the new set from Mona Pendleton called Timeless. I've also used the new Collage Backgrounds, Time Pieces Die-namics, Pierced Circle STAX Die-namics, Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose Die-namics, Mini Royal Roses Die-namics, Fishtail Flags STAX, Blueprints 6 Die-namics, and the Graduated Hexagons Stencil.
Here's the card in all its mixed media glory! I used all kinds of fun stuff here. I rubbed (sounds funny) the gears, the background layer, the flowers, and the overlay on the beautiful clock with this cool stuff called Inka Gold Metallic Rub and a soft cloth. I then went over most of those same items with some liquid gesso. The base layer was looking like it needed something so I used some modeling paste and the Graduated Hexagons stencil and went to town. It made all the difference in how the card looked. I used to be afraid of mixed media. I didn't really "get it", but it is really fun to get messy, because you really can't make a mistake. If you do, you just paint over it. LOL.

Detail shot #2.
Here are the products I used on my card.
