Love {SSSC204}

Hi there! It's time, once again, for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch. This week's sketch is awesome and can be used vertically or horizontally. I have used it vertically to accommodate my main image. To get all of the sketch details, head on over to Karen's Blog.

I went red and white for my card today with lots of embossing with the Tiled Hearts Stencil from My Favorite Things. If you haven't tried embossing card stock with a stencil, you MUST! So easy and so fun! I love all the texture the embossing added to my card. I also used MFT"s new set, Heart Balloons along with the coordinating Heart Balloons Die-namics. You will find a complete link list for all of the products I used at the bottom of this post.

Sisters {MFT January Creative Challenge}

Hi there! It's time for the January Creative Challenge from My Favorite Things! This month we were challenged to create custom sentiments or add personalization to our card, home-decor, 3-D gift or scrapbook page using any MFT alphabet dies or stamps. FUN challenge! I have a scrapbook page to share today of my girls from Thanksgiving day. We spent the day with my husband's side of the family in Capitola. It's become tradition that when we spend Thanksgiving there we walk to the beach after our Thanksgiving feast. We walk off dinner so we can eat dessert when we get back ;) It was a BEAUTIFUL day that day so I took the opportunity to snap a few pictures of the girls.

The MFT products I used on my card are Spring Backgrounds, Typewriter Text Background, Sheet Music Background, Journal It - Pocket Calendar, Little Letters, Delicate Doilies (Free with $60), Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX, Fishtail Flags STAX, Flower and Leaf Trio, Moroccan Tile Border Trio, and Mini Tabs Foursome. The colors are Pink Lemonade, Nightshift Blue, Sno Cone, and Smooth White.

I stamped the flowers with the Typewriter Text Background.

Time to Celebrate {SSSC203}

Hi there! It's Saturday and time for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch! L.O.V.E. this week's sketch and I think you will too! I hope you get a chance to play along!

I hope you're not sick of my plaid flowers because I've got another one on my card today ;) I used the new set from MFT called Celebrate Big (the CELEBRATE was perfect for this sketch) along with the Plaid Background Builder, Woodgrain Background, Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose, Layered Leaves, Fishtail Flags STAX, Circle STAX Set 1, Circle STAX Set 2, and Double Dot Border. The colors I used are Pink Lemonade, Berrylicious, Blu Raspberry, and Smooth White.
