MFTeasers: Day 3!

Hi there!  It's day three of teasers from My Favorite Things and today we are introducing this month's Triple Scoop set, Complimentary Greetings and Clearly Sentimental About Art (last month's Triple Scoop set).

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer!

I used Complimentary Greetings for my scrapbook page today.  Let me just say that if you love Big Greetings, then you are going to LOVE Complimentary Greetings!  It's perfect for scrapbooking!  The sentiments are perfect and I LOVE the font used for these two sets!  I've also used the new Die-namics Hexagons (awesome and hot hot hot in the industry), the fabulous new Die-namics Traditional Tags STAX (L.O.V.E.) plus the previously released Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX and By The Letters.  My pictures were taken using the Instagram App and printed on my HP 4x6 Photo Printer.  I love that I can print these at home!

Oh, my daughter didn't have black eye when this picture was taken.  Every picture I took of this page made her look like she had a black eye!

The sentiment You Are Pretty Amazing is from Complimentary Greetings.  I stamped it and then cut each word out separately.  A small adhesive pearl was adhered next each word for added interest.  The word beautiful made with Thickers.  Our Girls was made using the Die-namics By the Letters Lowercase.  And don't you love those Hexagons?  SWOON!

Those four rectangles were made with the new Die-namics Traditional Tags STAX.  L.O.V.E.

On the bottom right corner I used the Fishtail Flags STAX.  Some miscellaneous machine stitching finishes the page.

Here are the Die-namics I used:

Hi there!  It's the second day of teasers (my first day) from My Favorite Things!  Today we are introducing two new sets, Inspired By Travel and Fred Bear and the Pinwheel.

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer.

My card uses Fred Bear and the Pinwheel (so so cute).  He was colored with Copics and was cut out with the new Square STAX sets 1 and 2.  The flowers were cut with the Die-namics Flower Trio.  The circle was cut with the Die-namics Circle STAX set 1 and Circle STAX set 2.  The sentiment was cut out using the Die-namics First Place Award Ribbon .  Oh, and I can't forget the new Die-namics Notched Border for the border on the bottom.  All the papers are Authentique Gathering 6x6.

My Favorite Things Guest Designer Challenge

Hi everyone!  Did you know that MFT has a Guest Designer Challenge every month?  The winner of the contest wins over 200.00 in stamp sets and Die-namics, and also has the opportunity to play along with the design team for the next release and all of the Wednesday Stamp Club Challenges for the next month!!  You can check out all the details HERE!

This month's Guest Designer Challenge is an awesome SKETCH so I couldn't help myself and played around for fun!

My daughter will be promoting from 5th grade later this week and I was in need of a card for her teacher, so I used this sketch for her card!

I was inspired to use Inspired By Flowers Set 4 after seeing this beautiful card by Michele Boyer.  The flower was colored with Copics, was cut out and popped up for dimension.  The sentiment is from Vintage Cameo and was cut out using the Die-namics Oval STAX set 1.  The rectangle under the flower was cut using the Rectangle STAX sets 1 and Rectangle STAX set 2.  The little green panel with the brads was cut out with the Die-namics Mini Tab Foursome.  Some machine stitching finishes the card.  The papers are from the Simple Stories Summertime 6x6 pad.

On the inside I stamped the flower using Jenni Bowlin Spice Tin ink and finished with some machine stitching.

And here are the Die-namics I used:

MFT Creative Chat ~ May

Hi there!!  Welcome to the May Creative Chat from My Favorite Things!  This month we are showing you our Ink Pad Storage!  I happen to love my ink pad storage and I am eager to see how the other girls store their ink pads!  I always get a new idea when I read the other posts!

Head on over to the MFT blog for a link to each participating designer.

I happen to have alot of ink pads.  I started off with most of the Stampin' Up ink pads and over the years have slowly added to my collection.  I have quite a few of the ColorBox Fluid Chalk inks, a handful of Memento ink pads (Memento Tuxedo Black is my go-to for use with Copic Markers) and some of the Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads.  I mainly use the distress ink for sponging, not stamping.  I don't use my ink pads like I used to since discovering the world of Copic Markers, but I do use them for sentiments and the occasional solid stamp.  Even though I don't use them often, I don't think I'd ever be able to part with them!

I store my ColorBox Fluid Chalk, Memento and Tim Holtz Distress ink in this storage unit from Organize More. (I don't see this exact unit on their Etsy site)  I LOVE this unit.  It sits directly in front of where I sit at my desk so all the pads are within easy reach.  I have two Memento Tuxedo Black ink pads on the bottom right.  One is new and one is old.  I usually reach for the older one first, but if I can't get a good image, I use the newer one.  I really like the feel of the old one, but it is OLD :)

The frame that sits on top of the ink pad unit was given to me by my youngest for Mother's Day. She made it at school and it reads:  "MOM Awesome Loving Amazing Kind Goodhearted"  Love that girl.

Just another shot with some of the ink pads out so you can see them :)

I store my Stampin' Up pads and all of my refills in the Stampin' Up' ink tower.  I've had this for probably five years.  It sits behind me and to the right so if I turn to the right in my chair, they are easy to reach.

I have all the ink pads organized by color family, as in blues, greens, pinks/reds, etc.  Makes the colors easier to find.

Well, I hope you've enjoyed my ink pad storage!  Not too exciting, but organized!

Oh, before you go, don't forget to leave a comment on my blog candy giveaway here!  I'll be doing the random drawing this Friday!

Have a great day!

Pure Innocence Fun in the Sun VIP Collection!

Hi there!  Long time no post!  I've been super busy with end of the school year assemblies, choir concerts, cheer tryouts and choir tryouts so stamping has taken a back seat!  The end of the year always sneaks up on me and I'm always surprised by it!  You'd think with a 13 and 11 year old it would be old hat by now!

But tonight I'm back with this month's ADORABLE Fun in the Sun VIP Collection from My Favorite Things!

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer!

Here are some details about tonight's VIP Collection:

The finished inside inspired by my friend and fellow MFT designer, Karen Giron.  I love how she finishes the insides of her cards!
