Tiny Little Thing.....

Hi there and Happy Halloween!  Today is my Mother-in-law's birthday and we're having the whole family over for a pasta dinner, some cake and ice cream and a little trick-or-treating.  This has become our family tradition....celebrate Grammy's birthday and then trick-or-treating!  The kids look forward to it every year!

Anywho, my Mom requested a baby card with a matching gift bag for someone at work who recently had a baby and I was happy to oblige!  I started with CPS sketch #191, but strayed a bit from the sketch in the end. 

I used the baby onesie from the Taylored Expressions set, Hangin' Out.  I love this little onesie!  It was paper pieced with some October Afternoon Fly a Kite DP and cut out.  The frame is from Take Note and was stamped in Marina Mist and then cut out with the Take Note Frame 3 die.  The onesie and star are popped up on foam tape.  Some Taylor's Tiny Twinkles in the corner give it some sparkle. The two circles behind the main image were embossed with a polka dot embossing folder.  The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut out with a Ribbon Tag Trio Nestabilitity and sponged with Marina Mist before removing it from the die.  I adhered it to the card with foam tape and some Marina Mist taffeta ribbon.  Some corner rounding with my Corner Chomper finish it off!

Tomorrow marks the beginning of sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions!  There are some ADORABLE stamps and dies being released this month so I hope you'll stop by!  The Baker's Dozen will have sneak peeks for you from Monday until the big release on Thursday!

TE Blog Hop From the Past!

Hi there everyone!  Welcome to the Taylored Expressions Blog Hop From the Past where we are featuring any Taylored Expressions stamps from the past (2008 ~ March 2010).  There are many talented people joining us in the hop today so I hope you'll take the time to hop around!  You'll find the link list at the bottom of my post.

I used a set from the Whimsical Wishes line that needed some serious love, Chillax!  The sketch is this week's CPS sketch #172.  The margarita was colored with Copic markers.  I added some Martha Stewart Crystal Coarse Glitter around the rim of the glass to mimic salt....I'm not much of a drinker, but I do like a nice margarita every once in awhile and it must have salt!  Anywho...the dp is Basic Grey Origins and goes perfectly with this set, in my opinion!!  Very citrusy!!

That's all from me today!  I'm off to get a nice highlight and haircut!  As soon as I get back I'll be hopping around to see what everyone made!

CPS Sketch #170 Love You Muchly

Hi there everyone!  I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend!  Our weather has been beautiful!  We spent yesterday swimming with the girls and this morning was spent going to the Farmer's Market and Target!

After we got home I sat down so I could work on this week's CPS sketch.  My Favorite Things is the sponsor this month and if you participate in the sketch there will be a winner!  Well, I have a list of stuff I'd like from MFT, but the budget can't cover it all, so why not try to win?  LOL!

So here is my card using CPS Sketch #170.  I used one of my Pure Innocence girls, Heart Stripes.  I paired her with some October Afternoon dp...it's a mix of OA paper, but I can't remember which pads!  I throw them all into a plastic bag once I start using them so they are all mixed.  I believe they are Farm Fresh & Fly a Kite, but don't hold me to that.

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks Day One!!

Hi there!  Today is the first day of the Taylored Expressions sneak peeks and we have two brand new product lines to share with you!

The first is the launch of the new TE stamp line designed and illustrated by Taylor Van Bruggen herself!  She is kicking off her new line of stamps with 2 adorable coordinating sets, Garden Party Blooms and Garden Party Critters and our first ever Big Background Stamp, Cloudy Days!  These sets are SO CUTE and are what the Baker's Dozen will be showcasing today!

We are also introducing the Project Pantry.  When you are looking for just the right ingredients to create a new recipe where do you look? In the Pantry of course! Taylored Expressions is introducing a new line of kits called the Project Pantry with just the right ingredients for your cardmaking and paper crafting projects. These kits will be a variation on our Key Ingredients and our Taylored Card Kits. My first card uses the new Garden Party Critters!  I decided that the bee hive from the set would look cute hanging from a tree or a branch, so I used a branch and some leaves from Branching Out to do just that!  I stamped the bee from the set three times, cut them out and placed them around the hive.  The bee hive itself was popped up for dimension with foam tape.  The cardstock, designer paper and ribbon are from the new Garden Party Pantry Kit.  The cork is from my stash and was cut with an EK Success Large Scallop Punch.

This card uses Garden Party Blooms and this week's Card Positioning Systems Sketch #165 sponsored by Taylored Expressions!  All of the cardstock and designer paper are from the Garden Party Pantry Kit.  I paper pieced the flower and added some grass with a Martha Stewart Grass Punch.  I then cut the image out with rectangle Nestabilities, rounded the corners with a Corner Chomper and layered it on a Big Scallop Rectangle Nestability.  The sun and the butterfly were stamped in Summer Sunrise ink and cut out with paper snips.  A little machine stitching and I called it done!
