Thank You Flower Medley {SSSC234}

Hi there everyone! Sorry it's been so long since my last post. We were super busy the last few weeks celebrating birthdays, getting the girls ready to start a new school year, and busy with visiting relatives from out of town. Things are finally settled and I couldn't wait to get inky! Thank goodness for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, because I was certainly in need of a jump start and Karen's sketch was just the kick in the mojo that I needed!

My card today relies heavily on Die-namics dies. I chose to use the Flower Medley Die-namics from MFT as the focal point of my card. Each flower was stamped with the Wood Plank Background with the color card stock's coordinating ink. Each flower was finished with a twine-tied button. The rectangle panel was embossed with the Diagonal Stripes Stencil for some texture. The colors I used are Sno Cone, Sweet Tooth, Sour Apple, Pink Lemonade, and Grapesicle.

Here is my card:

The sentiment on the inside is from You're Super.

Thanks {SSSC232}

Hi there everyone! It's time for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch and boy does Karen have a good one for us this week! I hope you get the chance to play along.

My card today features many of my favorite things from My Favorite Things. I used four background stamps: Wood Plank, Writing Tablet, Gingham, and Linen, along with the beautiful Gerbera Daisy, Leaf-Filled Flourish, and Tag Talk Die-namics. The colors are Sweet Tooth, Grapesicle, and Steel Blue, a color combo I will DEFINITELY use again!

MFT August Release Rewind - You've Got Mail

Hi everyone! It's Release Rewind time for the My Favorite Things August Release! I love the Release Rewind because it gives me the chance to work with a set that I might not have had a chance to use during the release. If you haven't seen the new release products yet you can find them in the MFT Boutique. Make sure you head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each participating designer.

I didn't get a chance to use You've Got Mail during the release so that's what I've used on both of my cards today. I've paired this new set with the You've Got Mail Die-namics (this month's Free with $60) on the first card and then used just the stamp set on the second card. The colors I used on both cards are Pink Lemonade, Kraft, Chocolate Brown, and Primitive White.

Here's my first card. Isn't the envelope SO CUTE? I made it look like it was stuffed with hearts. I just love the sentiment. The background was stamped with the new Writing Tablet Background and the hearts were stamped with the Romantic Script Background.

I started my second card with this week's Deconstructed Sketch #164.  The pink "plaid" background and pattern on the Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose was made with the new Writing Tablet Background. I stamped it on the diagonal, rotated and stamped one more time on the diagonal. LOVE LOVE LOVE how it looks. The checkerboard on the Kraft circle was made in the same fashion with the Diagonal Stripes Background.
