Today we are introducing A Day in Paradise, Moka Lani, Beach Belle, Surf's Up, a new Palm Tree die and a new Wave border die.  I have two samples to show you using Beach Belle and A Day in Paradise!  Let's get started, shall we?

My first card uses the new Petite stamp set, Beach Belle!  The adorable penguins are back for this release all dressed and ready for some sun and surf!  Beach Bell is a set of 6 stamps on a 3" x 5.5" full color sturdy storage panel.  Beach Belle was illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink line.

I paired Beach Belle with some fun Hello Luscious papers from Basic Grey.  Some of the patterns from this line remind me of Hawaiian prints and thought they'd be perfect with Belle.  Belle was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, was colored with Copics and was popped up for dimension.  The the border at the bottom?  That's the awesome new Wave Border die.  I used it upside down and love the look!  I finished the card with some rounded corners using my beloved Corner Chomper, some machine stitching and a button tied with some baker's twine!

My second card uses the sophisticated Cape Cod beach themed set, A Day in Paradise.  This set was illustrated by Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes line.  A Day in Paradise a set of 21 stamps that come on a full color sturdy storage panel.

I started off with this week's Mojo Monday sketch, Mojo193, although I did change up the sentiment panel to suit my card.  I used some of my fave new papers, the Fly a Kite line from MME Lime Twist.  The beach chairs were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and were colored with Copics.  I paper pieced the umbrella with a pattern from the same line.  They were cut out with Rectangle Nestabilities.  Some machine stitching, brads and twine finish the card.  Clean and simple.....

Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Baker's Dozen has cooked up with today's sets!

A Baby is a Bit of Stardust......

Hi there!  I hope you're all having a great weekend!  It's Memorial Day weekend here in the States and we have no plans....ahhhh.....love that!  I had a little stampy time today and made this card for this week's Viva la Verve sketch over in the Verve forums on SCS.  Tosha gave us this awesome sketch to play with!  I love tilted panels, so I was game!

One of my best high school friends gave birth to her second son, Cole, last Monday so this was the perfect opportunity to make her a card!  I pulled out my most favorite Verve set, To the Moon, and got to work.  The bear was colored with Copics, cut out and popped up for dimension in the frame from the same set.  The frame was cut out with Square Nestabilties.  The kites were paper pieced and finished with some Divine Twine.  I was looking for the perfect sentiment and found it in another Verve set, Practically Perfect.  The sentiment was stamped in Pacific Point ink.  Some buttons tied with some more Divine Twine and machine stitching finish the card!  All the patterned papers are from the October Afternoon Campfire line.

Verve is having an awesome Memorial Day Weekend Sale!  Now through May 31st all stamps are 20% off and all dies are 10% off!  This is the perfect time to pick up those sets I know you've had your eye on!  Happy Shopping!

I {heart} You.....

Hi there!  Sorry for the long absence!  We've been dealing with a nasty stomach bug here at our house.  My youngest daughter got it first and then hubby got it!  My oldest and I seem to have escaped it and everyone is finally back at work and school!

I am now able to share some of the cards I made for my time on the Splitcoast Dirty Dozen and this is one of my favorites!  I used the Key To My Heart à la mode from My Favorite Things and paired her with the Die-namics Dainty Doily Die, Dainty Lace Border Die and Hearts a Plenty die.  The heart was cut from red felt and her dress was paper pieced.  The papers are Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934.  The card was finished with a rounded corner, gems, a button, twine and some machine stitching!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to be back to my regular stamping routine in the next few days!!

Happy Stinking Birthday, Barbara!!

Hi there and welcome to Barbara Anders (Bar) Birthday Blog Hop!  If you've arrived here from the fabulous Lynn Put's blog then you're in the right place!  If you've just happened along then head on over to Tammy Hershberger's blog to start from the beginning!

I have always been a fan of Bar and her gorgeous creations!  I also had the honor of designing with her on the SCS Dirty Dozen DT and now the My Favorite Things DT!  She's not only talented but very sweet, and funny!  Happy Happy Birthday, Barbara!!!  I hope you're suprised and have a wonderful day!

I combined Barbara's birthday card with TCP Tuesday 159.  Susan is our Hostess with the Mostess this week and she challenged us to stamp with flowers!  Easy peasy.....I love flowers, especially combined with the adorable images from the Cat's Pajamas!

I used the TCP set, Happy Camper, and stamped the skunk, tree trunk and flower separately.  Each was colored with Copics and cut out.  The grass was done with the Cut Ups Grass die and was cut out with Circle Nesties.  The sentiment is a combo of words that I masked to make Happy Stinking Birthday.  "Stinking" is from the phrase Just Sitting Here Stinking from Happy Camper and "Happy Birthday" is from the newly released Simply Said.  The sentiment was finished with a button tied with Aqua Divine Twine.

You can find all of the TCP Tuesday details on Alma's Blog.

à la mode Teaser Time: I Treasure Our Friendship

Hi there!  It's the second day of à la mode teasers from My Favorite Things and today we have another fab set to show you:  I Treasure Our Friendship!  These à la modes just get better and better every month!!

In the past, we've released our à la modes images in cling rubber, however, this month, we're releasing both of our à la modes in clear photopolymer, just like the rest of our stamps.  This means that we can bring them to you a slightly lower price point than usual - $9.00 each!  How fabulous is that?!  Since our clear stamps are made in the USA, they are of the highest quality, so you'll have the same great image quality that you're accustomed to with any of our other clear stamps!  Sweet deal right?

I Treasure Our Friendship:

OMGoodness....isn't she awesome?  LOL!  I just love these images!!

She was colored with Copics.  The papers are MME Lime Twist Life of the Party.  I used the Die-namics Faux Crochet Border at the bottom and the Die-namics Hearts a Plenty for the felt and patterned paper hearts.  Some rounded corners, machine stitching and some twine finish the card!

Here's a close up of the sparkly pirate booty!!  I used a Copic Spica Glitter Pen for the sparkle....

TCP Tuesday 158!

This is my second post today.  To see the MFTeaser à la mode post just scroll down!  Thanks!

Hi there!  Yes, it's Monday again and I'm just now posting my TCP Tuesday challenge from last week! Blogger's problems last week messed me up like I'm sure it did some of you!  We had plans most of the weekend, so posting for me just wasn't going to happen until today!

Tori is our new Hostess with the Mostess and she gave us some very challenging colors to work with!  I worked it out, though.....

Don't Go Breakin' My Heart:

The Smokey Shadow on my card looks black, but it is Smokey Shadow!  I used some Basic Grey Marjoleine papers, which might have been just a stretch for the color challenge, but I think it works!  I used one of my fave TCP sets, Bear Hugs.  He was colored with Copics, cut out and popped up for dimension.  I paper pieced the heart.  The bottom layer green layer and the cream round panel were both embossed with the Seeing Spots embossing folder.  Some Oyster Divine Twine with a button finish the card!

MFT May Creative Challenge!

Hi there!!  I am here with my first creative challenge for MFT!  I ALMOST didn't sign up because the challenge freaked me out and I didn't think I'd be able to complete it!  But I did and I LOVE my card!!

Here are some details about the challenge from MFT:

In 2011, MFT is working harder than ever to inspire you, and we have come up with something we think you'll really enjoy. Our Design Team Creative Challenge is a new monthly feature, where we challenge our design team to explore their creative side using a specific theme, product or technique.

This month, Eva and Arlene have challenged us to give monochromatic coloring a try! Visit Kim's Blog for a full list of designers that have taken up the challenge!

Here's my card:

I colored my Being Cute Is What I Do PI image (currently being restocked) with Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol and a blending stump.  It has been forever since I broke out my Prisma pencils but I had so much fun playing around and trying to remember how to use them!  It's not perfectly colored, but I really love how it looks!

I used a few different patterned paper lines for my card:  My Mind's Eye, Basic Grey and LilyBee Designs.  I also used my fave Die-namics Pretty Posies Dies and the new to me Die-namics Dizzy Border.  Some Cappucino Twine with a button, machine stitching and a sentiment flag finish it off!

Tell It To The Paw!!

Hi everyone!  I know.....I know....today isn't TCP Tuesday!  I am playing catch up this week and am finally getting my card done for last week's challenge, TCPTues157!  Julie is our Hostess with the Mostess and she gave us a super fun and easy challenge:  use buttons!!  I use buttons on just about every card I make so this was a no brainer for me!

I used one of my fave sets from The Cat's Pajamas, Big Bear!  I love this bear and couldn't resist this adorable sentiment!!  I used the Cut Ups Button die for the pads on his feet and the orange buttons!  I also threaded the buttons and wrapped the card with Orange Divine Twine.  I'm telling you, if you don't own any twine yet, you're missing out!  LOL!  I am addicted!  I also used the Cut Ups Inside Pinking Die on the dark chocolate cardstock.  Some machine stitching and rounded corners finish the card.  All of the papers are from the MME Lime Twist Fly A Kite pad.
