So Thankful {MTSC105}

Hi there!  It's Tuesday and that means it's time for another one of Mercy's sketches!  This will also be my last week as part of Mercy's sketch team.  Mercy recently announced that she will not be continuing her sketches in 2011 and I will not be able to participate next week because Hubby took a week off and we're just gonna hang together as a family!  I will have a couple posts, but for the most part my blog will be pretty quiet until the new year!  I also have some exciting announcements coming soon!!  Anywho.....

My card is COMPLETELY inspired by this FANTASTIC card by Julee Tilman.  I took one look at Julee's card and couldn't get it out of my mind!  I loved the colors and those gorgeous flowers!  Mine is not nearly as beautiful as Julee's, but I do love how it turned out!  All stamps used are from Verve.

I stamped the Wild Flower Plain Jane in Pure Poppy four times, cut out three flowers and just a portion of the fourth flower and popped it up on the center flower for dimension.  Each flower center is finished with Star Dust Stickles.  The text layer was stamped with a stamp from the new Text Objects in Pure Poppy.  It was cut out with Rectangle Nestabilities.  The background layer was embossed with the Scallops and Circles Impression Plate from Taylored Expressions.  The sentiment is from Amazing Wishes.  Some adhesive gems and gingham ribbon finish the card!

Don't forget to check out the rest of the girls to see what they've cooked up with this week's sketch!

Birthday Wishes {MTSC104}

Hi everyone!  It's Tuesday and it's time for another one of Mercy's sketches!!   Mercy brings us another fab sketch this week!  I hope you'll play along!

I used the one of the newest releases from Verve called Amazing Wishes.  I LOVE these flowers!  They are so easy to paper piece!  I paired the stamps with some scraps of October Afternoon patterned papers from my stash.  I think they are a mix of Seaside, Farm Fresh and Modern Homemaker.  Each button was finished with a button and some twine and I stitched some twine "x's" where the round elements should be on the sketch.  Not sure I LOVE this part, but I was stumped what to put there!  LOL!

Don't forget to check out the rest of the Muse's to see what they did with this week's sketch:

How've You Bean? {MTSC103}

Hi there!  It's Tuesday and it's time for another one of Mercy's sketches!  If you love layers like me, then you're going to love this week's sketch!

I used another one of my new The Cat's Pajamas stamps that I recently received.  This cutie is called You Suit Me.  I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her with Copics.  I also paper pieced her jacket with some fun Alphabet Soup papers by My Mind's Eye.  The fun Kraft scallops at the bottom are from the Icing Die, also from The Cat's Pajamas!

Don't forget to check out the rest of the girls to see what they've cooked up with this week's sketch!  And give a giant welcome to our new Guest Muse for the month of December:  Stephanie Kraft!!  Welcome, Steph!!!

Have a Beary Christmas {MTSC102}

Hi there!!  It's Tueday and it's time for another one of Mercy's sketches!!  This week's sketch is another fabulous sketch!  Last week I received an order from The Cat's Pajamas.  I ordered some new stamps and  Cut Ups dies from their winter release and couldn't wait to ink up this bear from the appropriately named set, Big Bear!

I went rebel and tilted the main panel a bit.  It was screaming out to be tilted!  LOL!  The patterned papers are Echo Park Wintertime and I've paired them with Cherry Cobbler and White cardstock.  The gorgeous snowflake was cut out of felt using the new Cut Ups Snowflake die.  The button and twine are from my stash!

Don't forget to check out what the rest of the girls did with today's sketch!

I used a new set from MFT, Candy Cane Kisses a la modes.  I also made this for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club challenge, My Favorite Things.  I was inspired by the warm woolen mittens from the song My Favorite Things from The Sound Of Music.  I just love these a la mode girls and can't wait to get the newest two that were just released!  Anywho....the dp is Good Cheer from October Afternoon and I added some glitter to her hat and trendy boots!

Happiness Is Homemade {MTSC100}

Hi there!!  I can't believe it's been a week since I last posted!  Well, my kids and hubby were off last Thursday and Friday, I had a bunch of stamping to do for the Dirty Dozen Gallery that was revealed today and spent the weekend hanging out with the family!  Good stuff!!

Well, it's Mercy's 100th sketch today!  And today's is FABULOUS, although I just realized while uploading the sketch that I placed the oval in the wrong place!!  I used my the What's Cookin'? a la Mode (looks like it's sold out right now) from MFT AGAIN!  I just love this image!  I combined today's sketch with the Wednesday Stamp Club challenge in the MFT forum, Cookin' Up Some Love.  The patterned paper is October Afternoon Modern Homemaker and I LOVE IT!  Fun colors and patterns.

Don't forget to check out what the other girls did with this week's sketch!

A+ Happy Birthday {MTSC99}

Hi there!!  It's Tuesday and it's time for another one of Mercy's sketches!!  Another great sketch this week, but I'll admit that my mojo has taken a vacation because I totally struggled with this card!!  I just couldn't make it work to my liking so I had to walk away.....hence the tardy post!  I finally sat down to finish it up and am still not 100% happy with it!   LOL

I needed another teacher birthday card so I pulled out my trusty Make The Grade and Extra Credit sets from Taylored Expressions.  I love the schoolhouse from this set.  It's fun to color and EASY to cut out!  I paired the stamps with some new October Afternoon Schoolhouse DP.  I could go on and on about how much I love October Afternoon, but I don't want to bore you!  These papers are awesome!  I only bought one pack and will definitely be picking up one or two more so I don't run out......

Anywho...I rounded all the corners with my Corner Chomper and layered the schoolhouse on a Nestability Lacey Circle.  Some stitching and buttons finish it off....

Don't forget to check out what the other girls did with this week's sketch!

Verve Sneak Peek ~ Richly Blessed {MTSC97}

Hi there!  It's New Release Spotlight time for Verve this week!  I'm so excited to show you some new and FABULOUS sets this week!  The peeks started yesterday and will continue through Friday leading up to the Release Party on Friday night from 9~11 EST in the Verve Forum on SCS.  I hope you're able to join us!!

Today the Diva's are spotlighting three new sets, Richly Blessed, Joy For the Journey and Vintage Oval Frame.  I have a sample of Richly Blessed for you today.  I combined it with another wonderful sketch from Mercy.....so I'll get right to it!

I started with the sketch and flipped it to work with the gorgeous cross and sentiment I wanted to use.  I stamped the cross in Pear Pizazz on PTI Rustic Cream twice, cutting the second one out.  I was going to pop it up for dimension, but just adhered it in the center (under the gem) and curled up each piece.  Love this look!  The sentiment I used here is two separate sentiments.....Jesus and then The True Gift Of Christmas.  They were stamepd in Dark Brown chalk ink.  The DP is Tinsel and Twig from The Girl's Paperie.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the Diva's and don't forget to leave comments as you're hopping around for a chance to win some new Verve!

Here's the official link list of today's spotlight hops.  Happy hopping!

All Hearts Come Home For Christmas {MTSC96}

Hi there!!  I want to start off first by thanking all of you for the wonderful comments regarding the Dirty Dozen.  It really meant so much.....so THANK YOU!  You all know how to make a girl feel loved.....

So let's get to why you're here.....Mercy's Tuesday sketch!  And man, oh, man is this week's a good one!  I used my new MFT set, Sending You a Little Christmas.  I am head over for these Pure Innocence images and they just seem to get cuter and cuter, IMO.

The image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on Rustic Cream cardstock.  I paper pieced her with some of the patterned paper used on the card and colored the rest with Copics.   It was cut out with Square Nestabilities and then the corners rounded with a Corner Chomper (you NEED one, I'm tellin' you!)  It was layered on a Big Scallop Square nestie and adhered with foam tape.  Some Taylor's Tiny Twinkles on the tree and some Martha Stewart Glitter finish it off.  The patterned paper is the Girl's Paperie Tinsel & Twig.

  I wanted to add some sewing like I normally do, but my beloved Janome Sew Mini died on Saturday!  I loved that little machine and will be buying another soon because they're on sale at Hancock Fabrics this week.

Don't forget to check out what the rest of the girls did with today's awesome sketch:

Ecclesiastes 3:11 ~ Verve Sneak Peek {MTSC94}

Hi there!  It's Tuesday and it's time for another one of Mercy's sketches!  I also have a super sneak peek of a beautiful new Plain Jane from Verve, Ecclesiastes 3:11.  The official sneak peeks for Verve start tomorrow but we were given the go ahead to start with the Plain Jane's a little early!!

I won't lie and say this sketch was easy for me, but I am happy with the end result!  I had a really hard time with the five panels in the back, but I worked it out!   I'm not much of a distresser, but I started so I couldn't stop!  What do you think?

The Verse was stamped in Dark Chocolate on Rustic Cream cardstock, cut out with Rectangle Nesties and sponged with Tea Dye Distress ink while still in the die.  The flowers are from Great Friend and were paper pieced with some October Afternoon dp.  I added a button and some twine to the center.  Some machine stitching finishes it off!

The sneak peeks for Verve start tomorrow!  You can check out the Verve blog tomorrow to see which design team members will be participating each day.  It wouldn't be a Verve Release without some Release Week Challenges!  You can check it out here.  Can't wait for you to see all of the new goodness!!

Don't forget to check out my fellow Muse's for more inspiration with this sketch and please give a big welcome to our new Guest Muse for October, Heather Pulvirenti!  Welcome, Heather!!

Have a Wildly Wicked Halloween {MTSC93}

Hi there!!  It's Tuesday and it's time for another one of Mercy's sketches and this week's is a goodie!  Sorry for the lack of posts lately, but I've been really busy in my real life!  I have been stamping, but it's nothing I can show you just yet!  I have two big releases that start next week from Taylored Expressions and Verve!  So stay tuned because you won't want to miss a thing!

I wanted to make another Halloween card (my girls like to give them to their friends) so I took out the new Taylored Expressions set, Hangin' Out ~ Wicked Wardrobe.  I just love this witch dress!  I used some of the Echo Park Halloween paper, some of it from the Fright Night Project Pantry and some from my LSS.  I paper pieced the dress and colored the witch hat with Copics and cut out.  The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut out with Double Ended Tag die and was sponged with some Pumpkin Pie ink while still in the die.  I did the same technique with the long rectangle behind the dress.  The ribbon is also from the Fright Night Project Pantry and the black brads are from my stash.  A little black stitching finishes it off!

Don't forget to check out what the other girls have done with this fab sketch!

You're Such a Smartie {MTSC92}

Hi there!  It's Tuesday and it's time for another one of Mercy's sketches!  This week's sketch is another goodie!  I've been in a stamping funk for the last week and this card sort of pulled me out of the funk!  I haven't felt like stamping AT ALL!  We've been busy around here and stamping has been put on the back burner, but I feel revived and ready to stamp!  LOL!

I used a new to me MFT set called Emma and Her Backpack.  Isn't she the cutest?  I paired her with some Cosmo Cricket Togetherness dp.  Love this stuff, too!  Anywho....I won't bore you with the details.  All of the products used are in the recipe at the bottom of this post.

TCP Release Blog Hop! {MTSC91} {TCPTues126}

Hi there!!!  Welcome to The Cat's Pajamas Release Blog Hop!  I am SO honored to play along with the fabulous TCP DT!  Amy kicked off the hop so if you've arrived here from her blog then you're in the right place!  The hop ends with TCP owner, Alma's blog, so be sure to let her know how much you love the TCP stamps when you get to her blog!

For my card I used the just released and totally adorable Hello Pumpkin!  Those penguins are too cute!   I combined it with today's amazing sketch from Mercy, MTSC91 and this week's TCP Tuesday challenge to use plaid, TCPTues126!   The patterned paper is Echo Park Halloween, and my plaid is the orange pattern!!    It's hard to tell from the picture, but I cut out each penguin and popped each up for some dimension.  And you might notice, as I just did typing this, that I forgot to color two of the penguins feet!  Shessh....It's handmade, right?  LOL!

Before I go I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to Alma and the TCP design team for letting me play along for this release!  It was a blast.....

Your next stop on this hop is to the FABULOUS, Jen del Muro!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

TCP Sneak Peek {MTSC90}

Hi there!!!  It's Tuesday and time for another one of Mercy's sketches!!  And if you read the title, then you know I'm here with a Cat's Pajamas sneak peek!  Alma de la Rosa (owner of TCP) emailed me recently and asked if I wanted to participate in this month's sneak peeks along with her amazing design team!  I immediately said yes!  Really how could you say no to such CUTENESS?  LOL!

The Cat's Pajamas will be releasing 12 (yes, TWELVE) new sets on Tuesday, September 14th and I can't tell you enough how cute they are!  The set I'm peeking for you today is called Skating Bunny.  I love the ears on this sweet little guy!  I paired him with TCP's Cut-Ups Buttons dies, some Cherry Divine Twine and Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather DP.  I also rounded the corners with the Corner Chomper.  Some twill ribbon and machine stitching finish it off.

Don't forget to check out what the girls cooked up with this sketch:
