Tiny Little Thing.....

Hi there and Happy Halloween!  Today is my Mother-in-law's birthday and we're having the whole family over for a pasta dinner, some cake and ice cream and a little trick-or-treating.  This has become our family tradition....celebrate Grammy's birthday and then trick-or-treating!  The kids look forward to it every year!

Anywho, my Mom requested a baby card with a matching gift bag for someone at work who recently had a baby and I was happy to oblige!  I started with CPS sketch #191, but strayed a bit from the sketch in the end.
I used the baby onesie from the Taylored Expressions set, Hangin' Out.  I love this little onesie!  It was paper pieced with some October Afternoon Fly a Kite DP and cut out.  The frame is from Take Note and was stamped in Marina Mist and then cut out with the Take Note Frame 3 die.  The onesie and star are popped up on foam tape.  Some Taylor's Tiny Twinkles in the corner give it some sparkle. The two circles behind the main image were embossed with a polka dot embossing folder.  The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut out with a Ribbon Tag Trio Nestabilitity and sponged with Marina Mist before removing it from the die.  I adhered it to the card with foam tape and some Marina Mist taffeta ribbon.  Some corner rounding with my Corner Chomper finish it off!

Tomorrow marks the beginning of sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions!  There are some ADORABLE stamps and dies being released this month so I hope you'll stop by!  The Baker's Dozen will have sneak peeks for you from Monday until the big release on Thursday!

That's all from me today!  Thanks for stopping by...

Verve Final Peek Day ~ MORE TAGS!!

Hi there!  It's the final day of sneak peeks from Verve.  Today the Diva's are spotlighting the newest addition to the Verve line up....the Sweet Scallop Tag Die.  Yes, Verve has taken the leap into the world of steel dies and I couldn't be happier.  The Sweet Scallop Tag Die coordinates with Sweet Scallop Tag (stamp) and the snowflake stamp from Glad Tidings that I previewed on my blog yesterday.  I love the shape of this die and I can't wait for you to get your hands on it!

So let's get to my project today.......MORE TAGS!!!

It's official......I'm hooked on making tags!   I hope you're not sick of seeing them.  Aren't these fun?  I decided to use my favorite Verve flower (at the moment) from Great Friend.  I paired it with the new Sweet Scallop Tag (stamp) and Friendly Phrases.  All of the DP is October Afternoon Fly A Kite.

I stamped the Sweet Scallop Tag in Dark Chocolate ink on three different patterns and cut them out with the Sweet Scallop Tag Die.  The flowers were paper pieced with the same patterns and popped up on foam tape.  I used four of the sentiments from Friendly Phrases.....Hello Friend, Thank You, Best Wishes & Get Well Soon.  Some chocolate buttons and Farmer's Market Twine in chocolate finish them off.

The Verve Release Party is tonight from 9~11 PM EST in the Verve Forum on SCS.  All of the sets you've seen peeked this week will be available for purchase immediately following the Release Party.  I hope you're able to join us tonight!

Don't forget to check out what the rest of the Diva's have done with this beautiful new set!  Make sure you leave some comments along the way for a chance to win!

Verve Sneak Peek ~ Glad Tidings!

Hi there!!  It's another day of Verve sneak peeks and today the Diva's have new BEAUTIFUL set to show you called Glad Tidings.  This set is so elegant!   It pairs perfectly with the new Sweet Scallop DIE (yes, I said DIE).  But that's all I'm sayin' right now!  Hehe....

Before I get to my project for today, I wanted to remind you that everything you've seen this week will be available after the Verve Release Party tomorrow night from 9~11 EST in the Verve Forum.  I hope you're able to join us for all the fun!

Now onto the project......

Okay, so I'll admit it......I am tag CRAZY!  Oh my, are these addictive!  They are SO EASY with this new set and coordinating die.  I stamped the UBER gorgeous snowflake tag 6 times in Versamark Ink onto Kraft cardstock and heat embossed each with white embossing powder.  I then cut them out with the Sweet Scallop Die and then sponged the edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink.  The To/From was stamped in Pure Poppy ink.  I then stamped the smallest snowflake (there are three) from the set 6 times in Versamark and heat embossed those with white embossing powder, cut them out and popped one up on foam tape over the larger snowflake.  The sentiment (from Holiday Phrases ~ previewed on Monday) was stamped in Pure Poppy and was made into a little flag.  I adhered it to the snowflake with a button and some Divine Twine.  I just love how these turned out!

Don't forget to check out what the rest of the Diva's have done with this beautiful new set!  Make sure you leave some comments along the way for a chance to win!

Verve Sneak Peek ~ Merry Wishes {SFYTT}

Hi there!  Welcome back to another day of Sneak Peeks from Verve!  Today the Verve Diva's are showing you sneak peeks of a wonderful new set called Merry Wishes and a new single stamp called Sweet Scallop Tag!  I have a sample using Merry Wishes, so let's get to it!

I started out today's card with Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try from last Saturday.  The dp is Good Cheer by October Afternoon.  The snowflakes were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored in with Copics and cut out.  I added a small button to the center of each and finished them off with some Rustic Jute Twine in Cream.  Merry Christmas was stamped in Dark Brown Fluid Chalk Ink, was cut out with Circle Nestabilities and was sponged with some Tea Dye Distress Ink while still in the die.  I layered it on a Pure Poppy Scallop Circle and layered it once more on a Labels 3 Nestability.  Some rounded corners with my Corner Chomper, twill ribbon and adhesive gems finish it off!

Don't forget to check out the rest of the Diva's and what they have cooked up for you today!  And don't forget to leave comments along the way for a chance to win!

Verve Sneak Peek ~ Richly Blessed {MTSC97}

Hi there!  It's New Release Spotlight time for Verve this week!  I'm so excited to show you some new and FABULOUS sets this week!  The peeks started yesterday and will continue through Friday leading up to the Release Party on Friday night from 9~11 EST in the Verve Forum on SCS.  I hope you're able to join us!!

Today the Diva's are spotlighting three new sets, Richly Blessed, Joy For the Journey and Vintage Oval Frame.  I have a sample of Richly Blessed for you today.  I combined it with another wonderful sketch from Mercy.....so I'll get right to it!

I started with the sketch and flipped it to work with the gorgeous cross and sentiment I wanted to use.  I stamped the cross in Pear Pizazz on PTI Rustic Cream twice, cutting the second one out.  I was going to pop it up for dimension, but just adhered it in the center (under the gem) and curled up each piece.  Love this look!  The sentiment I used here is two separate sentiments.....Jesus and then The True Gift Of Christmas.  They were stamepd in Dark Brown chalk ink.  The DP is Tinsel and Twig from The Girl's Paperie.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the Diva's and don't forget to leave comments as you're hopping around for a chance to win some new Verve!

No Peeking Christmas Tags.....

Hi there!!  I had a little time this afternoon and sat down to make some Christmas tags.  I've been seeing them all over the place and I thought it would be fun to make some!  I pulled out three new sets recently released by Taylored Expressions and got to work.

I stamped the snowflake label from Take Note Holidays in Cherry Cobbler, Marina Mist & Pear Pizazz two times each and cut them out with the Take Note Frame 3.  I lined them all up and stamped the To: From: sentiment from Tag...You're It on each tag in Dark Chocolate ink.  I stamped the snowflakes from Winter Wonderland in the same colors and cut them out with my favorite Winter Wonderland Snowflake dies.  The coordinating buttons are from my stash and were finished off with a twine bow and a No Peeking sentiment flag....also from Tag...You're It.  A jumbo eyelet and some more twine to tie to a package finish it off.

That's all from me this evening!  Thank you for stopping by!

All Hearts Come Home For Christmas {MTSC96}

Hi there!!  I want to start off first by thanking all of you for the wonderful comments regarding the Dirty Dozen.  It really meant so much.....so THANK YOU!  You all know how to make a girl feel loved.....

So let's get to why you're here.....Mercy's Tuesday sketch!  And man, oh, man is this week's a good one!  I used my new MFT set, Sending You a Little Christmas.  I am head over for these Pure Innocence images and they just seem to get cuter and cuter, IMO.

The image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on Rustic Cream cardstock.  I paper pieced her with some of the patterned paper used on the card and colored the rest with Copics.   It was cut out with Square Nestabilities and then the corners rounded with a Corner Chomper (you NEED one, I'm tellin' you!)  It was layered on a Big Scallop Square nestie and adhered with foam tape.  Some Taylor's Tiny Twinkles on the tree and some Martha Stewart Glitter finish it off.  The patterned paper is the Girl's Paperie Tinsel & Twig.

I wanted to add some sewing like I normally do, but my beloved Janome Sew Mini died on Saturday!  I loved that little machine and will be buying another soon because they're on sale at Hancock Fabrics this week.

Don't forget to check out what the rest of the girls did with today's awesome sketch:

Verve Sneak Peek ~ Bountiful Harvest

Hi there!!  It's the final day of sneak peeks from Verve and today we are peeking the new set called Bountiful Harvest.  I just love the fun whimsical images in this set!  The font is fabulous as well!

I stamped the trio of pumpkins in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them with Copic Markers.  The leaves/stars look pretty bright in my picture, but they don't look quite as bright in person.  The main image was cut out with Curved Rectangle Nestabilities and was sponged with Brushed Corduroy and Antique Linen Distress inks while still in the die.  I used Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg DP.  I bought this last year and am loving it all over again!  Some buttons, Chocolate Farmer's Market Twine and machine stitching finish it off.

Head on over to the Verve Blog for a complete list of the Diva's participating in today's peeks!

Hi there!  It's finally release day at Taylored Expressions!  Everything you've seen during the sneak peeks is now available for purchase in the TE Store!

But before you leave the Baker's Dozen has some a release round up of sorts!  We're all going to show you some more inspiration with all of the sets peeked this week!  I have another card using the adorable Penguin Pals to show you!  So let's get to the card!

I used Mojo Monday sketch #158 for my card.  I stamped the adorable penguin in Versamark ink and heat embossed him with black embossing powder.  After he cooled I colored him in with Copic markers, cut him out and then added some Martha Stewart Coarse Glitter to the rim and ball of his hat.  I popped him up on foam tape on a Square and Scallop Square Nestability.  The snowflakes are from Winter Wonderland (can't put this set down) and the coordinating snowflake dies.  They make the perfect embellishment!  The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, cut out with a Double Ended Tag Trio (Spellbinders) and sponged with Soft Sky ink while still in the die.  The twine is Farmer's Market Twine (sold out right now).  Some adhesive gems, rounded corners with my Corner Chomper and a big bow finish it off!  The patterned paper is Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather.

Verve Sneak Peek ~ Autumn Splendor

Hi there!  It's the second day of sneak peeks from Verve and today the participating Diva's are sneaking peeks of an AWESOME new set called Autumn Splendor.  If you love leaves and all of the possibilities they hold, paired with fantastic sentiments that we come to know and love from Verve, then this set is for you!

I decided to use my leaves as little trees.  I used all three sizes of this particular leaf, stamped the outline in Dark Chocolate and stamped the body of the leaf in Warm Green Fluid Chalk ink.  I love how they didn't stamp perfectly (user error, not stamp error).  It kind of gives the trees some depth, don't you think?   I used the Mojo Monday sketch from last week (loved it so much, this is my second time using it!).  The sentiment is from a set peeked yesterday called Happy Fall.  The papers are Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg.  Some ribbon, machine stitching and chocolate twine finish it off!

For a complete list of all of the Diva's participating today, just head on over to the Verve Blog!

I'll be back tomorrow with one last peek before the stamps are released!  Don't forget to leave comments on each blog as there will be a random winner!

Thanks for stopping by....

Taylored Expressions Day Three!

To see my Verve post please scroll down.  Thank you!

It's day three of sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions and it just keeps getting better and better!  Today the Baker's Dozen will be showing you sneak peeks of three new sets, Take Note Holidays, Keeping Tabs &Tag You're It!

I have a sneak peek of the new set Tag You're It!  Tag You're It  is a set of ten deeply etched red rubber stamps.  There are five tag images and five sentiments all to mix and match together!  This is a perfect set for finishing off a wrapped gift.  A definite must have for your stamping arsenal!

I stamped four of the five tag stamps in assorted colors, colored them with Copics and cut them out with the coordinating Favor Frame Die.  I cannot tell you how much easier the job is with a die!  I punched a hole in the corner of each tag and tied some Cherry Farmer's Market Twine leaving it long enough to tie on a package.  I also made a darling mini pizza box to store them in!

You can find the mini pizza box tutorial here.  These are so fun and easy to make.  I used Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather and added a fun snowflake embellishment using Winter Wonderland (the set peeked yesterday) with the coordinating dies!

Now it's time to check out the rest of the Baker's Dozen!

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek Day Two!

Hi there!  It's day two of sneak peeks and today the Baker's Dozen will be showing you sneak peeks of two new sets, Winter Wonderland and Sparkle and Cheer.  All of the supplies we're using today come from two brand new Project Pantry Kits, Tinsel & Twig and Snow Day Project Pantry Kits.

My peek uses Winter Wonderland, a BEAUTIFUL snowflake set designed for the Whimsical Wishes Line by the fantastic Nancy McKinney.  And you want to know one of the greatest things about today's sneak?  There are coordinating SNOWFLAKE DIES!!    I've died and gone to heaven!

All of my supplies come from the stunning new Tinsel & Twig Project Pantry Kit.  The patterned paper in this kit is from the Tinsel & Twig collection by The Girls Paperie.  I can't get enough of it!

Winter Wonderland is a set of 14 deeply etched red rubber stamps consisting of two large snowflakes, two medium snowflakes, three small snowflakes, two tiny snowflakes and four sentiments.  There are three snowflake dies that coordinate, but do you know the best part?  The large snowflake die cuts BOTH of the large snowflakes, the medium snowflake die cuts BOTH of the medium snowflakes and the small snowflake die cuts ALL THREE of the small snowflakes!  Brilliant!

I stamped three snowflakes (one medium, two small) in Versamark Ink, heat embossed with white embossing powder and then cut them out with the snowflake dies.  I layered them over a Labels 14 Nestability with the sentiment.  I rounded two opposite corners with the Corner Chomper and added some machine stitching.  A bow and darling Christmas tree stickpin, also from the Tinsel & Twig Project Pantry finish it off!
