MFT May Countdown Release: 1!

Hi there everyone! The day is finally here! At 10:00 PM EST all of the stamps and Die-namics we've been introducing all week long will be available for purchase in the MFT Boutique! But first, we have one more round of stamp set and Die-namics introductions, so make sure you head on over to the MFT Blog for all of today's details!

I have a card to share with you today that uses the new Pure Innocence Just the Way You Are, along with the Grid, Pinstripe, and Linen Backgrounds, Horizontal Stitched Strips, and Rectangle Frame Die-namics. My card is very colorful as you will soon see. I used Orange Fizz, Red Hot, Banana Split, Gumdrop Green, and Nightshift Blue along with Sweet Tooth.

I started by stamping five of the Horizontal Stitched Strips (I used the third smallest die) with one of the new background stamps and the coordinating color of ink. The beauty of these new Die-namics is that when you combine the like sizes, they perfectly cover an A2 card front. LOVE! I stamped the Pure Innocence image in Black Licorice Hybrid ink on X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copics. The was framed with the Rectangle Frame Die-namics and finished with some buttons cut with the Button Quartet Die-namics and a sentiment which masked and then stamped on Mini Wavy Pennant Die-namics.

Happy Mother's Day! {SSSC219}

Hi there and Happy Mother's Day! It's time for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch! You are going to love this week's sketch. It's awesome!

I used the sketch to make my Mother-in-law her Mother's Day card. I LOVE the colors. I'm not much of a purple fan, but Grapesicle from My Favorite Things is slowly becoming a favorite color of mine.

The Gerbera Daisy was stamped with the Linen Background in Grapesicle ink. I used my favorite Wood Plank Background for the Kraft and Primitive White layers. A Kraft Leaf-Filled Flourish and some sequins finish the card.

Here it is:

MFT May Release Countdown: 3!

Hi there! Welcome back to the May Release Countdown from My Favorite Things! We've got some super fun things to introduce today, so make sure you head on over to the MFT Blog for all of today's set reveals and details and to find out how you can win BIG just for commenting!

I went mixed media for my card today! I started by cutting a piece of mixed-media paper with the largest die in Blueprints 10 and proceeded to paint the paper with a layer of liquid gesso, then kraft colored acrylic paint. Once both layers dried, I stamped the entire piece of paper with the new Grid Background and Kraft Hybrid Ink. I then covered most of the stamped background with some modeling paste and the Small Brick Wall Stencil ;) I LOVE how this looks! So cool. I then finished with a large Gerbera Daisy snd Leaf-Filled Flourish that were both painted with a bit of liquid gesso to give them some texture.

I had so much fun with today's card. The new Fishbowl Die-namics and You're Fin-tastic stamp set are a perfect pair. I created a scene with the dies and framed it with the medium size frame from the new Rectangle Frames Die-namics that was stamped with the Plaid Background Builder in Orange Fizz Hybrid Ink. The Berrylicious layer is the center portion of the large frame from the Rectangle Frames. The fun sentiment was stamped in Black Licorice Hybrid Ink.
