I used the adorable Elf Girl for my card and the following Die-namics:  Snow Drifts, Circle STAX,  Let it Snowflake and Sentiment Strips.  Elf Girl was colored with Copics, was fussy cut out and popped up for dimension.  Card base is Wild Cherry cardstock and the mat layers are Whip Cream cardstock.  The Whip Cream Buttons were tied with Hemp Cord.

MFTeasers: Day Five!

Hi there!  It's day five of teasers from My Favorite Things and it's àla modes day!!  We have two new àla modes to introduce today:  Sparkling Season and You shine!  You're going to love them!

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer.

I used the darling Sparkling Season àla mode for my card.  I colored her as I would dress.....cream shirt, jeans and cute boots!  Wish I looked that cute!  Anywho...she was colored with Copics, was fussy cut out and popped up for dimension.  The sentiment was stamped three times, cut out with Circle STAX Die-namics and was popped up on foam tape on top of a Die-namics Jumbo Snowflake.  A couple adhesive rhinestones, a few rounded corners and some Hemp Cord finish the front.  Card base is Wild Cherry cardstock, mat layers are Whip Cream Cardstock and the patterned paper is Echo Park This and That Christmas.

MFTeasers: Day Four!

Hi there!  It's day four of teasers from My Favorite Things and today we are introducing a fun new set called Gift Card Greetings and its coordinating Die-namics Die, Gift Card Pocket-Vertical.

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer.

I decided to go shabby and girly pink for my card today.  The base of the layers was stamped with the denim stamp from Western Backgrounds.  The vellum layer was stamped in white craft ink with the largest dotted stamp from the new Darling Dots, then was sewn to the base layer.

The Gift Card Pocket was cut from corrugated cardboard and was swiped with a white craft ink pad to give it some shabbiness.  I made an insert for the gift card holder because I didn't have a gift card to fill the pocket.  It was stamped with the largest Dotted stamp from Lisa Johnson's Darling Dots in white craft ink.  I took two of the sentiments from Gift Card Greetings, stamping "Girl" on a Sweet Tooth Traditional Tags STAX and "for the" on a long Kraft oval from the Accent It Flags and Tags Die-namics. The tag was finished with a metal brad and crinkled seam binding. The sentiment at the bottom was stamped onto a Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics.  I then finished the front with some little brads, lace trim and some machine stitching.

Here is a close up of the tag and Gift Card Pocket.  The Kraft oval is popped up on foam tape.

MFTeasers: Day Two!

Hi there and welcome to the second day of teasers from My Favorite Things!  Today we are introducing two new sets from the Laina Lamb Design Line:  Journal It-Calendar Basics and Document It-Days and Dates.  There are also two new Die-namics from Laina Lamb Designs: Accent It Calendar Components and Accent It Story Starters.

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer.

My card uses Journal It Calendar Basics and Document It Days and Dates (the 2012 on the calendar) and the following Die-namics:  The GORGEOUS Poinsettia, High-Rise Numbers, Accent It Story Starters, Insert It 3x4, Accent It Flags and Tags (the small arrow) and Simply Scallops.  The card base is the new Paver Red.  The patterned paper is Glitz Joyeux Noel 6x6.

I love the new Laina Lamb Designs Line.  Not only is it perfect for scrapbooking or Project Life, but the sets and Die-namics work awesome on cards, too.  This is a close up of the Insert It 3x4 stamped with the calendar from Journal It Calendar Basics.  Love the High Rise Numbers.  They are a perfect size.  The phrase at the bottom "Best Day Ever" is from Accent It Story Starters.  I pulled the letters out and used the negative on the inside.

And the finished inside.  Best Day Ever is the negative of Accent It Story Starters.
