MFTeasers Day Five

Hi there!  It's Doodle Garden Teaser day at MFT and today we have two new adorable images to introduce: Party Time and Fluttering By!

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer.

For my card today I've used Doodle Garden Party Time.  I've also paired her with the sketch from this week's Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch Challenge.

She was stamped on X-press It Blending cardstock, cut out with Die-namics Circle STAX, and colored with Copics.  Her dress was paper pieced. I drew in the grass with Prismacolor Pencils. The sentiment was stamped on a Circle STAX and layered on a Die-namics Decorative Circle STAX.  I finished the sentiment with a twine bow.  The card base is Kraft cardstock and each mat is layered with Sweet Tooth cardstock. The patterned paper is MME My Girl 6x6.

MFTeasers Day Three!

Hi there!  It's the third day of Teasers from My Favorite Things and today we are introducing Birthday Sentiments (this month's Triple Scoop), Western Sentiments and Lollipop Additions - Birthday.

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer.

My card today uses the new Triple Scoop set, Birthday Sentiments.  I LOVE this set!  If you're not familiar with the Triple Scoop, you can read about it here.

I also used the amazing new Blueprints 1 Die-namics and one of the sketches from the Blueprints 1 PDF that will be available on release night.  This new concept is so brilliant.  I am a "forever to make a card" type of crafter and this literally cuts my time by more than half.  I can't wait to play with it more! Oh, and one of my favorite dies from Blueprints 1, aside from that big scallop, is the base layer.  It is THE PERFECT size for an A2 card. The card base is Kraft cardstock and the ink is Kraft ink.  The button was finished with Hemp Cord.

I finished the inside of the card with the large scallop die from Blueprints 1 and then stamped Happy Birthday, from Birthday Sentiments in Black Licorice and Kraft inks.

MFTeasers Day One!

Hi there and welcome to the first day of Teasers from My Favorite Things!  We have such an exciting  release for you this week, including a brand new Die-namics concept called Blueprints and a brand new color in our Replenishments line, Electric Red!

Today we are introducing a beautiful new set from Lisa Johnson Designs called Pretty Poppies, along with the coordinating Poppies and Leaves Die-namics, also from Lisa Johnson Designs.

Here is some information about a new Die-namics concept called Blueprints 1:

Introducing Blueprints – The Foundation for Your Creativity
Whether you have limited time, or simply need a creative jumpstart; Blueprints is your answer.  A design plan and building blocks in one revolutionary product.  Follow the provided sketches, or mix and match the elements provided to become your own architect.  Leave the heavy lifting to us.

The sketch comes from the provided sketches for Blueprints 1!  I ADORE this new Die-namics set.  I simply followed one of the provided sketches for Blueprints 1 and had my card done in record time!  I cannot say enough about this concept.  It's brilliant!  A card that would normally take me about 2+ hours to create, took me 35 minutes from start to finish!  So if you're sketch challenged or are simply lacking some creative mojo, then Blueprints 1 is for you!

The card base is Sweet Tooth.  I stamped the Gumdrop Green layer with the text stamp from Pretty Poppies in green ink.  I did the same with the orange layer.  I love that text background stamp.  I cut several of the Poppy heads using Lisa's new Poppies and Leaves Die-namics and stamped them with the coordinating poppy from Pretty Poppies.  I popped it up on foam tape for dimension over the stem and leaves.  I finished the card with a little machine stitching and some Hemp Cord.

Here is a shot of the inside:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was having so much fun with Pretty Poppies and Blueprints 1 that I decided to make a clean and simple card while I had everything out on my desk.  This card took me about 10 minutes.  Another record for me :)

I stamped the text background in orange ink and layered over it a white scallop that was cut using the Blueprints 1 Die-namics.  I stamped the stem, leaves and sentiment in green ink and added some dimension with the die-cut poppy head using foam tape.

True Friend {MFTWSC113}

Hi there! It's Wednesday and time for the Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch Challenge from My Favorite Things!  This week's sketch is AWESOME!  You will definitely be seeing it from me again in the near future.

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer.

I've used My Favorite Sentiments for my card today.  I've also used Die-namics Circle STAX set 1, Circle STAX set 2 and Notched Tag.  The card base and mat layers are Black Licorice cardstock.  The main image was stamped in Wild Cherry ink onto X-press It Blending cardstock, was fussy cut and popped up for dimension.  All of the patterned papers are Echo Park Love Story 6x6.

Happy Birthday!

Hi there!  I have a fun card/pizza gift box set to share today that I made a couple weeks ago.  I actually forgot to blog it.  I don't think I've ever forgotten to blog something that I made FOR THE BLOG!  LOL!

I started with a Mini Pizza box.  You can find the tutorial here.  SO easy and quick to make.  The pizza box is made from Blu Raspberry cardstock.  I used the following Die-namics for both projects: Heart Doily; Large Hybrid Heirloom Rose; Large Leaf-Filled Flourish.  I used the Happy Birthday stamp from this month's Triple Scoop at MFT called Western Sentiments.  The patterned paper is True Friend 6x6 by Echo Park.
