Taylored Expressions Release Day!

It's Taylored Expressions Release Day!  Everything you've seen peeked this week is now available for purchase in the TE Store!

Before you run over there to start ordering, the Baker's Dozen has some more projects to show you today!  You won't want to miss a thing!

I have one more card to show you that uses the new Will You Be Mine Penguin Petite set!  I stamped the penguins in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them in with Copic markers.  The frame around them is from another new set, New Beginnings, andwas stamped using Berrylicious Fluid Chalk Ink.  It was cut out with the new Frame It Up 1 die.  The papers are Echo Park Be Mine (LOVE).  The black heart border was made with the new Heart Border Die.  I used the Corner Chomper on a couple of the corners and added some machine stitching.  I also made a couple of rosettes using the Echo Park Be Mine Papers.  Some buttons and baker's twine finish it off!

You can see everything new in the Fresh Out of the Oven Category at the TE store!

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks Day 3.....

It's day three of sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions and there is A LOT to tell you about today!  The Baker's Dozen is peeking three new sets today plus a new Kid's Valentine Card Kit!!  I have many pictures, so I'll get right to it!

First off is a DARLING new set called Kid at Heart.  This set was designed by Taylor herself for the TE Collection.  It's PERFECT for kids or adults who are kids at heart!  I made this card with my hubby in mind, because you know.....He Floats My Boat!  LOL!  I don't know how he'll feel about pink ribbon, but I'm sure he'll love it because he always says I never make him cards, so this one is for him!  I used the sailboat image (1 of 22 images/sentiments) and paired it with this month's Valentine Project Pantry Kit.  I LOVE this kit!!  I made the "waves" using an EK Success Border Punch.  The bottom portion of the "waves" is popped up on foam tape.  A little machine stitching and a sentiment flag finishes it off!

Next up on the menu is the Kid's Valentine Card Kit!  Taylor asked all of us with kids if our kids would like to be a "Tiny Chef" and make some samples with the Valentine Kid's Card Kit and my girls were ALL OVER IT!  LOL!

Here they are with their finished projects:

This is Lauren!

This is Sarah!

The Valentine Kid's Card Kit  has enough supplies to make 20 kid's valentines.  There is patterned paper, ribbon, adhesive gems (round and hearts), colored cardstock and white cardstock.  Lauren made these two cards (and plans on making more) with the card kit and the new Kid at Heart stamp set.  See that frame?  It's part of Kid at Heart, too!  It's hard to tell from the picture, but the white background on both cards were embossed with the new Heart Impression Plate

These two were made by Sarah using the all of the supplies from the card kit with Kid at Heart stamp set.  Her sister, Lauren, tied the bows for her!  They thought up the layouts and everything on their own!  It was really fun to watch!  Don't you love the tilted panel on the card on the right!  A girl after my own heart!

I think this might have been the best my girls got along all of Christmas Vacation!  They were complimenting each other and everything!  LOL

Okay.....now onto one more project using another new set called A Little Love.  A Little Love is a mini stamp set to coordinate with the favor frame die. This set was illustrated by Taylor as part of the TE collection and is great for sweet treats and tags!

I made a SIMPLE set of clear bag treats with Valentine M&M's for my girls to give to some of their best friends.  I personally don't like to go all out for the kids valentine treats because I've seen those kids just rip all of my hard work to shreds!  LOL.

Here is a close up.  I simply filled a clear bag with some Valentine M&M's and finished it off with a tag I made using A Little Love.  I cut the frame out with the Favor Frame Die and layered it on a From The Heart Frame Die that was embossed with the Heart Impression Plate.  It was attached to the bag with some baker's twine and a button.  At the end I added a stamped heart from the set.  It looked too plain so I simply added some red glitter with a Sakura Quickie Glue Pen to the center portion of the heart.  My girls loved them!!

Whew......I hope you made it to the end!  Thanks for sticking with me!

Now don't forget to check out what the rest of the Baker's Dozen has cooked up for today!!!

Verve Release Spotlight Hop ~ To The Moon, Emery PJ & Smallest Things PJ

It's the last day of New Release Spotlights from Verve!   Today the Diva's are giving you peeks of one new ADORABLE set, To the Moon, a wonderful baby set, and two new Plain Janes, Emery and Smallest Things.

I hope you'll be able to join us tomorrow night at 9pm EST in the Verve Forum for our January Release Party!  All of the stamps and dies you've seen during the release hops will be available for purchase immediately following the party!

So without further adieu......here's my card:

I used the new Emery the elephant Plain Jane and combined a couple of sentiments from To the Moon.  I combined these stamps with some beautiful papers from Creative Imaginations.  Emery was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, was colored with Copics and was cut out and popped up on foam tape.  I finished the card with some of my favorite details...buttons, twine, adhesive gems and machine stitching.  I also love pink and green combined with the Kraft.  It's so soft and babyish....

I'm back with day two of the Taylored Expressions sneak peeks and I have one thing to say.....THE PENGUINS ARE BACK!!  Petite Penguins that is!  On the menu today are the newest Petite sets from Taylored Expressions!  The Baker's Dozen will be giving you peeks of three brand new Penguin Petite sets, designed for the Apple Doodle Ink Collection, and the Wreath of Love Petite set, concepted by Jami Sibley and illustrated by the UBER talented Nancy McKinney!

We are also showing you the newest dies to the TE line......Heart Border, Basic Bow and Seasonal Wreath Dies, plus the awesome new Heart Impression Plate!

I want to first start out by saying all of the paper (except Kraft), WeRMemory Keepers Be My Valentine patterned paper, ribbon and pins are from the brand new Valentine Project Pantry Kit!  This month's kit is just awesome!

I stamped the penguins in Versamark Ink and heat embossed them with black embossing powder.  They were colored with Copic markers and I added some red glitter to the bow, necklace and flower center.  It was cut out with Circle Nestabilities and layered on a Lacey Circle Nestability.  I made the heart border with the new Heart Border Die (LOVE) and finished it off with some machine stitching, ribbon and pins.  The sentiment was cut out with a Tag Trio Nestability die and was sponged with Riding Hood Red Ink before removing from the die.

New Release Spotlight ~ Love Notes

This is my second post today.  To see my MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge card, please scroll down!  Thank you!

Hi there!!  It's the second day of New Release Spotlights from Verve and today the Diva's are giving you peeks of another FABULOUS set called Love Notes!

Love Notes is a set of 26 clear stamps that is filled with the most fun sentiments and fonts that we've come to know and love from Verve.  There are also two stamps that coordinate with two of the new dies from this release, the Jotted Heart & Fancy Label Dies.  I ADORE this set and so will you!

I made a banner using Love Notes along with the Fancy Label die.  I also the double heart image from a set released last year, Sweet Valentine.  I love how you can combine Verve sets!  Makes for such versatility.

I want to apologize for the pictures.....the banner was hard to photograph!  This picture is of the entire banner.  I used the beautiful Echo Park Be Mine papers (I warned you I'd be using these alot this week!)

I made some more rosettes, added some machine stitching, buttons, Grey Divine Twine and pink adhesive gem flourishes.  This is the right hand end of the banner.

A detail shot of the left side of the banner.....

Detail shot of the right side.....

I had so much fun making this banner!  I hope I've given you some inspiration!

Don't forget that it wouldn't be a Verve release without a prize!  We've hidden a prize on one of the participating blogs each day! Just leave a little comment love as you hop around to be entered into a drawing to win that day’s featured stamps! Deadline for comment entries is 6PM Mountain Friday, January 7. You'll Be In My Heart {MFTWSC1}

Hi there!!  Happy Wednesday to all of you!  It's a happy day here as this is my first official post for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club!!  There is a fabulous change this year so I'll get to the details and then show you my sample!

MFT is super excited to announce that Wednesday Stamp Club will now be centered around a weekly sketch.  We know your stamping time is precious, and we want you to maintain as much creative freedom as possible.  Sketches are the perfect starting point to a card.  Use it as a blueprint, and create a card using the stamp set and supplies that strike your fancy.  You can turn to the sketches time and again for creative inspiration.

A new sketch will be posted each Wednesday at midnight on the MFT blog.  You'll also find the sketch in the MFT forum on SCS on Wednesday morning, as well as in the weekly newsletter.  Our talented Challenge and Design Teams will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique.  Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation.  You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish.  Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch.  All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process.  After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher.  If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher!  That is up to $100 per month in prizes, JUST for playing along.  We hope you'll join us in 2011.

Don't you love this sketch?  I used the new Love You With All My Heart Pure Innocence (currently sold out) and paired her with the Crush Collection designer papers by Bo Bunny.  I used the Die-namics Small Scallop Border on the top.   I added some Sugar Coated Glitter to the heart and I colored her shoes with a red Spica Glitter Pen.  A little Divine Twine and a button finish it off!

To view a list of design team participants just head on over to Kim's blog!

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks Day One!

This is my third post today!  To see Verve or The Cat's Pajamas posts, please scroll down!  Thank you!

It's the first day of sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions and I'm so excited to share with you the new set New Beginnings with the coordinating Frame It Up Die and Butterfly die!

This set was concepted by our own Sankari Wegman and for the TE line, illustrated by Taylor herself!  It's gorgeous.....so let's get to it!

I paired New Beginnings with Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 papers and got to work.  I stamped the frame image from the set in Versamark and heat embossed it with black embossing powder, then cut it out with the Frame It Up Die.  Three butterflies were stamped in Yellow Ochre Fluid Chalk Ink and cut out with their coordinating Butterfly Dies.  I ran some baker's twine on either side of the main image and finished it off with two black buttons from my stash.  Some machine stitching and black adhesive gems finish the card!

Don't forget to check out what the rest of the Baker's Dozen has cooked up for this peek:

Verve Sneak Peek Day One!

This is my second post for today.  To see my Cat's Pajamas TCP Tuesday post, please scroll down!  Thank you!

This Friday, January 7, Verve is releasing some fabulous new sets and dies! To countdown to the release, we’re putting on a series of mini blog hops Tuesday through Thursday of this week to preview the new sets! And because a new release is something to celebrate, we’ve hidden a prize on one of the participating blogs each day! Just leave a little comment love as you hop around to be entered into a drawing to win that day’s featured stamps!  Deadline for comment entries is 6PM Mountain Friday, January 7. Winners will be announced at our release party on Friday night!

Today I have a sneak peek of a new set called Sweet Treats and the brand new AWESOME Classy Label Die and Embossed Oval Die!  I also want to warn you....I'm over the moon for this new Echo Park Be Mine patterned paper.  You will be seeing a lot of it this week!

I started my card with an older Sketch For You To Try from Jen del Muro.  I picked out all of the patterns from the Echo Park Be Mine DP and then got to stamping.  I stamped the beautiful frame from Sweet Treats in Charcoal Fluid Chalk Ink and then used the Classy Label Die to cut it out.  I stamped the sentiment in the same ink and then cut it out with the Embossed Oval Die, finishing the edges with some pink glitter.  It needed a little something, so I stamped a small heart from the set over the sentiment and colored it in with a Copic Marker.  After cutting all of my layers I finished some of them by machine stitching the edges.  A glittered rosette, some adhesive flourish gems and button and Divine Twine finish it off!

Hi there and Happy New Year!

Today is Tuesday and that means my first TCP Tuesday challenge as a member of the Cat Pack!  Toni is our Hipster Hostess with the Mostess and she brings us a fun inspiration challenge!

This is also a sneak peek of a new soon to be released set from The Cat's Pajamas called  Honey Bear.  Isn't he cute?  I used the colors and stripes from the inspiration picture.  The fun new papers are from We R Memory Keepers Be My Valentine line.  The sketch is this month's Sketch For You To Try from Jen del Muro, sponsored by The Cat's Pajamas.  I used some Glitzy Glitter on the heart and some of my favorite  Divine Twine instead of ribbon.  I was never a fan of black, but I'm digging it lately!!  LOL

Long Time Friend.....

Hi there!!   I have been trying to upload this pic ALL DAY!  This is my first frustrating day with Blogger since I switched blog servers and I'm glad it's hopefully over!  LOL!

I made another card using the awesome Mojo 171.  I love this sketch!  I pulled out one of my favorite sets from Taylored Expressions called Garden Party Blooms and paired it with a sentiment from the new Friendship Blooms.  I stamped the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black onto two different patterns from the Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 papers.  They were popped up for dimension with some foam tape.  A black adhesive gem finishes them off.  Some machine stitching and a sentiment flag finish the card.

That's all from me today!  It will be pretty quiet around my blog until early next week!  I will be stamping the weekend away preparing for the next Taylored Expressions release!  You don't want to miss all of the new stamps coming out!!  Gorgeous!!

Have a great day!
