I'm Your Biggest Fan {MFTWSC91}

Hi there!  It's Wednesday and time to get sketchy with My Favorite Things!  This week's sketch is a good one so I hope you get the chance to play along!

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer.

My daughter has her very first cheer competition this weekend so I pulled out the adorable Pure Innocence Cheerleader to make her a card!  I was thrilled to find some patterned paper at my LSS with her school name on it and bought several pieces to use for cards and scrapbook pages!

I started with a Lemon Drop card base and matted everything in Red Hot cardstock.  The image was colored with Copics.  I purposely left her shoes white because my daughter's cheer shoes are white with white laces.  She was cut out with Rectangle STAX.  The Lemon Drop scallop was made with the Simply Scallops Medium Die-namics.  I also embossed the Red Hot strip with the Seeing Spots embossing folder.  I used the Grosgrain Lemon Drop Ribbon over that.  Some red brads finish the front.

Thank You......{SSSC168}

Hi there!  It's Sweet Sunday Sketch Time and this week's sketch does not disappoint!  I've been struggling lately with mojo so I went a bit simple (for me) with the sketch!  It was just the kick in the pants that I needed though and am feeling like making something else while my mojo is visiting!  LOL!

Before I get to my card, I want to welcome our Guest for this week's sketch, the awesome, Broni Holcombe!  Welcome Broni!!

For my card I used the MFT set Well Worn Greetings Die-namics and Stamp set and the Fishtail Flags STAX.  The buttons are Berrylicious Buttons from MFT and were threaded with some Hemp Cord.   The beautiful papers are My Mind's Eye Six by Six "Gnome Sweet Gnome"

This card also qualifies for this week's Crazy 4 Challenges #154, to make a Thank You or Thanksgiving inspired creation.

Here's the sketch:

Don't forget to check out the samples from the Sweet Sunday Sketch team:

And don't forget our guest Broni Holcombe!

If you play along don't forget to link up your card on Karen's Blog so we can check it out!

Too Cute To Spook {MFTWSC90}

Hi there!  It's Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge day over at MFT!  It's been a couple weeks since I've had the chance to play so I was excited to sit down and make a card with this week's sketch!

Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each designer.

Since Halloween is right around the corner, I decided to pull out the cutie patootie Pure Innocence Little Witch.  I paired her with Echo Park's Chillingsworth Manor papers.  She was colored with Copics and her dress was paper pieced.  She was cut out with Rectangle STAX.  The half circle at the underneath the main panel was made with the Circle STAX.

MFT September Creative Challenge!

The MFT Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative side using a specific theme, product, or technique. This month, we were challenged to create a card or project with no patterned paper.  Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for a list of all participating designers who have a project to share with you today.

This was such a fun challenge, although I was skeered at the thought of not using any patterned paper!   I made one card (the one on the left) and decided to make a second because the mojo was flowing!

Here are the two cards together:

I used MFT's Heavyweight Cardstock in Kraft, Berrylicious and Sweet Tooth.  If you haven't tried MFT's cardstock, YOU MUST!  It's incredible and thanks to customer request is now offered in a Heavyweight Cardstock Sampler Pack.  The inks I used are SU's Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede.

For my first card I used Own Your Story and the following Die-namics:  Botanical Beauty, Crown Border, Notebook Edge and Traditional Tags STAX.  I embossed the flower and the Sweet Tooth layer with an embossing folder (forgot the name).  The card was finished with a twine tied metal button and a metal clip.

I made a second card using the same colors as the first because I {heart} these colors together.  This time I paired Distressed Diamonds with Own Your Story.  I forgot how fun it was to make my own patterned paper!  The Die-namics I used on this card are:  Circle STAX, Fishtail Flags STAX, Four point Frame and Flower and Leaf Trio. I also added lots of distressing for the vintage look.

With Sympathy....

Hi there!  It's been a long week and I'm glad it's finally the weekend!  I was unfortunately in need of some sympathy cards this week and since I don't keep them on hand, I sat down a few days ago and made the three I'm showing you today.

I used Clearly Sentimental About Sympathy from My Favorite Things.  The sentiments in this set are so beautiful and I love the fonts.   I paired CS About Sympathy with the beautiful Die-namics Layered Rose, Royal Leaves, Circle STAX, Oval STAX, Fishtail Flags STAX, Dainty Lace Border and Crown Border.  The beautiful patterned papers are from the Echo Park For the Record 2 Documented pad.

The first card uses Mojo Monday Sketch 257.
