Hi there! I know it's been awhile since I last posted! I had a busy week with Halloween and my Mother-in-law's birthday. I have been stamping, but nothing I can show you just yet! My Favorite Things Teasers begin next Wednesday and I'll have PLENTY to show you during teaser time! I am almost done with everything before the big release which is unheard of for me! I am QUEEN of Procrastination, but I am trying to change!
Continue to the bottom of this post to read about the Blog Candy I have to offer!
Anywho....onto Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch! LOVE this week's sketch! I didn't follow it EXACTLY, but you can see it there!
We also have a new Sweet Sunday Sketch Guest......Welcome Pam Sparks!!
I made a shabby card using a new set from MFT called Thankful Leaves along with it's coordinating Fall Leaves Die-namics. I L.O.V.E. this set. The leaves were stamped in Not Quite Navy ink that was stamped off once to make it a bit lighter and not so perfect. I used the stamp off technique with the leaf vein using Soft Suede ink. The sentiment was masked so I could fit "For You" under "Thankful" and was cut out with Circle STAX Die-namics then sponged with Tea Dye Distress Ink. Isn't that blue burlap beautiful? (Say that three times fast) Got it at my LSS in five colors :) A little shabbying up, random stitching, lace trim, and some Kraft buttons tied with Hemp Cord and my card was complete! The patterned paper is Carta Bella Traditions 6x6.
I am also entering this into the Paper Crafting Tips and Tricks Week: Canvas, Cork and Burlap Challenge over at the Moxie Fab World Blog!

Onto the Blog Candy!!!
I recently decided to jump on the gratitude bandwagon and go for a little ride. I have been lucky in this little hobby of mine to design for some of the best companies out there and to share my creativity here on my blog. For that I am grateful. But I am also SO THANKFUL for the friendships it has brought me! Little did I know that some of my most cherished friends live in my computer! LOL! So what I'm trying to say is thank you for reading my blog, leaving comments when you can and sharing YOUR creativity! I am Thankful for YOU!
Here is what you can win:
Today's card along with Thankful Leaves and the coordinating Fall Leaves Die-namics!
All you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling me what you're thankful for.
That's it!
You have until this Tuesday, November 6th at NOON to leave a comment. I will choose a random winner Tuesday afternoon. Open only to U.S. residents.
Thank you and have a wonderful Sunday!

I am so thankful for so many things at this time in my life [retired 66-year old single woman]. I'm thankful that my children are all healthy and happy adults and that [for my age--ha!] I, too, am healthy and live in a wonderful senior community that watches over their neighbors. Throw in paper crafting as an obsession, er hobby, and life is good! Now I also have the chance to win wonderful blog candy so I'm also thankful for YOU!

SO much to be thankful for :) Family, the gorgeous colours of fall, my Verve release win, being able to touch someone by sending them a hand made card, my kids doing well in school, being able to teach the Grade 5/6 Sunday School class, the reminder that each day is a gift, and as you said, meeting so many wonderful people through this wonderful card making hobby :) Oh, and how can I forget!! Your card is just gorgeous, Jackie! Among the many things I'm grateful for is cardmaking - I've found so much joy, both in the creating and in the sharing, since I discovered this hobby!
I am so very thankful for my wonderful husband (who is also my best friend). I recently had back surgery and he has shown his true colors and is doing all of what he calls "women's work"--i.e. cooking, cleaning and, oh yes, did I mention the wash? Getting better now so that soon he will be relieved of his duties, but, I do think he will appreciate how much I do do around the house.
I love your card. I am so very thankful that I got to see my daughter for a week. She stayed with me while on a business trip. It's been over a year between visits. So I was really glad to have her stay with me. And I am grateful to all the folks helping those on the east coast that need it. They are in my thoughts and in my prayers. thanks as always for sharing.
I'm so thankful for the freedoms we have in the US. Thankful for health and family and friends and wonderful blogs like this one

Thank-you for the chance to win. I'm thankful for my military family. It's been a hard few weeks for my family with health issues and over the weekend our first dog passed away. Since we are always so far away from our "real" family, it's always our military family who steps in and takes on those roles. I'm thankful for each and every one of them. I'm also thankful for my sweet hubs who's been taking such good care of me during my health stuff.
