Thankful For You! {MFTWSC152}

Hi everyone! It's been a busy Thanksgiving weekend with lots of turkey, pumpkin pie, and family time. I hope all of my American readers had a great Thanksgiving. We spent it at the coast with my hubby's family. The weather was GORGEOUS so after dinner we took a walk to the beach to burn some calories before dessert ;) Once we were home, I took myself and 7 teenagers to the mall at midnight for some Black Friday shopping. We were out shopping until 4 am and I can honestly say I will NEVER do it again. HA! Too many people.

Anyhow, let's get to why you're here. I made a card using the adorable Doodle Garden Happy Harvest. I also used this week's Wednesday Stamp Club sketch #152. I also used the Woodgrain Background and Chalkboard Frame Builder Die-namics.

She was stamped on X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Black ink. The blending card was too white for my card, so I used a tip from Michele - I inked around the image with some Kraft ink to tone down the white and make it blend better with my card.

MFT's November Creative Challenge: Projects that Warm the Heart

Hi everyone! It's time for the monthly Creative Challenge over at My Favorite Things. Our theme this month is Projects That Warm the Heart. Head on over to the MFT Blog for a link to each participating designer.

I made a card with a matching tag of my project today. I used the new Pure Innocence Happy Heart Snowman, Spring Backgrounds, Western Backgrounds, Striped Backgrounds, Pierced Oval STAX, Oval STAX Set 1, Pierced Traditional Tag STAX, and Let It Snowflake. The colors are Kraft, Wild Cherry and Smooth White.

Here is the set together:

Here is the card alone. I stamped the snowman on X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Black ink and colored him with Copics. He was cut out and adhered to a Pierced Oval STAX that was first stamped with my favorite background from Western Backgrounds in Kraft ink. The heart was stamped on Wild Cherry card stock with the new Striped Backgrounds and was paper pieced.

The simple finished inside:

Here is the tag.

And a little detail shot of the tag.

Happy Birthday! {SSSC198}

Hi there! It's time for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch and Karen has an AWESOME sketch for us to play with this week. I hope you get a chance to follow along!

I was lacking mojo when I made this card, so I turned to one of my favorite color combos to get me started. You can't go wrong with a great sketch and a familiar color combo. I used a new set from MFT called Banner Greetings, along with the coordinating Banner Greetings Die-namics, Woodgrain Background, Layered Leaves, Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose, Pierced Square STAX, and Circle STAX Set 1.

Here is my card:

Detail shot of the rose. I stamped it with the Woodgrain Background using Orange Fizz ink.

A Friend-Ly Challenge: Christmas Style

Hi everyone! It has been SO long since I've shopped for anything crafty, but after resisting for some time, I finally placed my first order from Reverse Confetti. I knew Jen wouldn't disappoint. These stamps are fantastic quality and the shipping was lightening fast. I loved what I ordered so much, that I've already placed and received my second order. But don't tell my hubby. ;)

After ordering, I threw out a challenge to two of my favorite crafty friends, Becky and Lisa. I challenged them to make Christmas tags or Christmas gift packaging with their Reverse Confetti stamps. They took me up on the challenge and we are all posting today so if you get a chance, check out what they made!

If you follow my blog, then you might know that I LOVE to make tags, especially at Christmas time. I use them for my packages and for the gifts that my girls give to their friends. There is something so fun about creating these little works of art.

I used the new So Stripey and Tinsel 'N Trim. I am a total stripes girl so this was the first set to go into my cart :). I also used the Tag Me Confetti Cuts Dies.

Here are the red tags close up. Don't you love those adorable sentiments? They were all stamped in Hot Fudge Ink.

Here's a close up of the Sour Apple tags.

Don't forget to check out Lisa and Becky to see how they answered my challenge!
