A Little Late {MTSC87}

Hi there!!  I'm here today, a little late, with Mercy's AWESOME Tuesday sketch!  I apologize for the tardiness.....My girls started school yesterday and it was a little emotionally draining for me.....you see, my oldest started middle school and for some reason I had a REALLY hard time with it!  I didn't cry when either of my girls started kindergarten, but her starting middle school just did me in!!  I had a good cry and then worried about her all day long!  LOL!  Good news is she absolutely LOVED it, so I'm back to my old self again today!

In honor of the start of school and having my uninterupted stamping time back I thought it fitting to break out my Make the Grade set from Taylored Expressions and make a school themed card!  I hadn't yet inked up the cute little school house so I did exactly that!  I paired it with a mish mash of October Afternoon scraps and I LOVE how it turned out!

Don't forget to check out what the rest of the Muses cooked up with this sketch!

Jackie, your work is ALWAYS above and beyond everything in blogland...you are so talented! Love this school-themed card and can so relate to your emotions (though I have to pull it from my memories since my 3 are all grown and out of school).

it was worth the wait! this is amazing as always, Jackie! and I'm tearing up over first grade for my middle guy. You'd think it would be easier with the second one, but I'm really sad about him being gone all day! I have a few weeks at least! glad you're feeling happier today!Hugs!

This is such a sweet card. I feel for you. My oldest (girl too) is starting MS and I feel the same way. End of innocence and all that. I'm sure she'll love it too, but I think I might cry. I didn't cry when my little girl started K, but did at first grade because it was all day. I just hope that I won't become so embarrassing to her along the way. THAT will kill me. Glad your DD loved it. That is good to hear.
