Dream ~ Sweet Sunday Sketch Guest!

Hi there!  I'm guest designing along side Karen Giron and her sketch crew for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch #162!  LOVE Karen's sketches and this week's sketch is no execption!  Thank you, Karen!!

Here is this week's sketch:

I used a new and soon to be released set from My Favorite Things called My Favorite Sentiments.  The main image sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and was cut out using the Circle STAX set 1 and Circle STAX set 2.  The polka dot flower was cut out using the new Plentiful Petals Die-namics.  The smaller flowers were cut with the Flower and Leaf Trio Die-namics.  The large scallops at the bottom were cut with the Simply Scallops Medium Die-namics.  Some black divine twine and machine stitching finish the card.  All of the papers are Authentique Carefree Collection (6x6).

MFTeasers: à la mode Day!

Hi there!  Today is the 5th day of teasers from My Favorite Things!  It's à la mode day!  We are introducing two new à la modes: On Safari and You Anchor Me.

I used You Anchor Me for my card.  She was colored with Copics and her outfit and anchor were paper pieced.  She was cut out with Rectangle STAX set 1 and Rectangle STAX set 2.  The sentiment was stamped on a sentiment flag cut out using the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics.  The adorable little anchor is from the new Sea Charms Die-namics and was attached with a silver brad.  The Mini Scallop Edge Die-namics was used on the little scallops under the gingham print.  Some more brads and machine stitching finish the front.  All the patterned paper is October Afternoon Farmhouse (8x8)

Welcome Baby ~ MFTeasers Day 4!

Hi there!  It's day four of teasers from My Favorite Things and today we are introducing Baby Onesie Die-namics and Stamp Set and Airplane Greetings Die-namics and Stamp Set.

I used Baby Onesie for my card, however I did not use the adorable onesie die.  I love the fonts in this set.  The sentiment was stamped on an Oval STAX (set 1) and was layered on a Designer Labels 2 STAX cut from Kraft Cardstock.  The gorgeous flower was made with the new Plentiful Petals Die-namics.  I cut all three sizes of the flower and layered them all together and finished them with a button.  A little Fancy Flourish  and a Fishtail Flags STAX along with some machine stitching finish the front.  All the papers are MME Miss Caroline Howdy Doody.

Here's the finished inside.  The sentiment is two separate words stamped together.  Don't you love the font?

Hang In There ~ MFTeasers Day 3!

Hi there!  It's day three of teasers from My Favorite Things and today we are introducing Complimentary Greetings, Claire Keay-Monkey Business and this month's Triple Scoop Set, Clearly Sentimental About Audrey Hepburn.

I used the adorable new Monkey Business by Claire Keay.  I also tried coloring him using Michele's Coloring Fred Tutorial .  What a fun technique!  He was fussy cut out and was popped up for dimension.  I layered him over the sentiment which was masked so I could add it to two sentiment flags cut with the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics.  The rectangles were cut out using the Rectangle STAX set 1 and Rectangle STAX set 2.  the vine was cut from Gumdrop Green cardstock using the new Vine Border Die-namics.  The three small flowers were cut using the Flower and Leaf Trio Die-namics and were finished with a adhesive pearl.

MFTeasers: Day Two!

Hi there!  It's the second day of teasers from My Favorite Things and today we are introducing Inspired by the Sea and You Lift Me Up Flopsey.

I used You Lift Me Up Flopsey for my card.  Flopsey was colored with Copics and the balloons were paper pieced.  He was fussy cut out and popped up for dimension.  The Fishtail Flags STAX were used for the flag underneath Flopsey and the Fishtail Banners were used for the banner across the top.  Caribbean Teal Twine was used on the banner.  All of the papers are Fabulous by Simple Stories.

And a shot of the inside.  I used the same banners on the inside.  Love how it looks!

Gettin' Sketchy with MFT

Hi there!  It's time to get sketchy with MFT!  This week's Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch Challenge is a goodie!!  I hope you get a chance to play along!

I used Pure Innocence Cute-a-tude for my card today.  She was colored with Copics and her dress was paper pieced.  I popped her up for dimension on a piece of patterned paper cut using the Rectangle STAX set 1.  I used the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics for the sentiment, which is from All Occasion Sentiments.  Simply Scallops Die-namics made the scallops at the bottom and the Flower and Leaf Trio Die-namics was used to make the flower.  Some cream linen thread, a couple adhesive pearls and some machine stitching finish the card.

Here's the finished inside.  Just pretend you don't see the little black smudge mark on the left side, k?  The xoxoxo is from All Occasion Sentiments.
